Tlmfnw - my apologies on behalf of my fellow editors for the failure to welcome you sooner. I want to encourage you to help us build a better encyclopedia and your contributions are indeed welcome. You probably noted that your recent creation Societas Europaea Lepidopterologica was proposed for deletion shortly after you created it. That is not unusual as many new articles don't meet standard when they are first created, especially by new editors. I would encourage you to continue to improve this article with 3rd party sourcing (see WP:V) for more on the policies here. Also, please engage members of the insect and Lepidoptera projects as necessary for help. If you have any questions that I can help with, please ask me on my talk page. Thanks again for your contributions.--Mike Cline (talk) 14:58, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the Thanks. Re your questions. Here's a quick tutorial on citing sources: Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. Re the notability and referencing tags. I will remove those once we get a couple of specific improvements made. 1st, finding a reliable 3rd party source about the Society is important. A lot of online sources list the society, but I have not found any that really talk about the society. If you are aware of any coverage of the society, especially in English language scientific or environmental journals or other media, they will make outstanding sources. I am confident they exist, but we just need to find them and cite them. (This will satisfy the referencing and notability tag) As you add more information, look at other organization related articles and see how they are put together (this will satisfy the Wikify tag). Good Luck and don't hestitate to ask for help.--Mike Cline (talk) 12:42, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
