Kotaku article: "far-left"
[edit]You edited the lead section of the Kotaku article to state that they are a "far-left" outlet, citing in your edit summary that they made this information clear; it would be much appreciated if you would find a reference for this statement, as I was unable to. The change has been reverted for the time being, but you are welcome to reintroduce it if you can find a source. goose121 (talk) 20:15, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
- The source cited says that they are "center-left", which is clearly a distinct category from "far-left". goose121 (talk) 20:20, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Kotaku. -- ferret (talk) 20:36, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Louis Farrakhan. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. — MShabazz Talk/Stalk 01:21, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
- You are at the three-revert limit at Kotaku; any further reverts would be grounds for your account to be blocked without further warning. —C.Fred (talk) 01:24, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

Unblock
[edit]VictoryBrewing (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I was unfairly blocked while being new to Wikipedia. I read the rules and see that I should not have made edits without using the talk page. The person who blocked me however has made their political ties clear, and are very biased in their politics. I am an unbiased political person who believes that any journalist or journalism website should be made clear their political affiliations. I however will not seek to make any edits on sensitive subjects without first reviewing the talk page and having a thorough discussion. Although the person who blocked me should have their powers revoked as they abuse them for political purposes.
Decline reason:
You are clearly here to push an agenda and do not seem interested in working with other editors on this collaborative project. Your attacks on Cullen328, an experienced and knowledgeable user who acted quite properly in this case, only hurt your cause. See WP:NOTTHEM. I am declining your request. In my opinion you would at a minimum need to agree to not edit about anything related to US politics to be unblocked, but I will leave that to the next reviewer should you choose to make another request. 331dot (talk) 02:17, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Unblock
[edit]VictoryBrewing (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am not a politically biased person at all, I however do believe in integrity. If unblocked, I will not be pushing any political agenda nor have I once pushed any agenda while on here. I made an error, that error was not fully understanding the rules and how the talk page works. I will not go around editing pages for false purposes or trolling, or whatever is the word that is used by the Wiki community. I however will not be silent should I see a political page has misinformation on it, I will use sources and honest editing to keep the website unbiased. It is very clear there is a political bias on here, especially since the person who blocked me actually went out of their way to thank me for my unblock request. If that is not proof that I was unfairly blocked than I cannot provide evidence to my innocence as I literally just made an account today and did not understand the rules. I will absolutely under no circumstances post false or misleading information, and will always refer to the talk page in regards to any subject or edit. The person who blocked me literally gloated about it by going out of their way to use that thank button, that should be all the evidence I need to prove I am not some troll. I would like to be a part of an honest and unbiased, or neutral, project. Nothing more, nothing less.
Decline reason:
I find it amazing that someone can simultaneously hold the position "I have no political bias" and the position "Democrats/progressives are far-left" without seeing the inherent disjunction between them. You edit warred to enforce your own political bias, and now you are blocked. To have a chance of being unblocked, you will need to show at least a modicum of self-awareness. - I thanked the administrator who declined your unblock request for defending me against your ongoing personal attacks. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 07:26, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
- I endorse the block, for what its worth. I almost issued it myself but gave one more chance. -- ferret (talk) 12:54, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Final attempt
[edit]VictoryBrewing (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
This will be my final attempt at having this block removed. I cannot help but notice every single mod that has reviewed me has taken the side of their very liberal leaning cohort. Every single media outlet on here has it displayed their political leanings, whether that be Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc. Kotaku is no different, as a matter of fact, the last person who claims I am biased while defending their own political bias further proves my point. They wrote something along the lines of "labeling democrats/progressives as far left is wrong" to paraphrase, which is not wrong. True progressives do not go around pandering to a specific group of people, something Kotaku does on the regular, while attacking anyone who is not on their side. We even saw how far they went with the former community manager of GOG.com to doxx him for his sense of humor. I won't apologize for attempting to make it clear that Kotaku is a very left leaning organization, not when every media outlet on here has their political bias clearly labeled on their front page, especially those that are conservative. The original person who banned me has nothing but leftist propaganda on their page. I am not leftist, and I am certainly no damn Right-winger. I already made it very clear I will not attempt to make any edits on any page without a clear understanding of the consensus from the talk page. This is my first time having a go as an editor, and even more funny is the group attack I am under because I did not understand the rules, so you are taking the side of the person who banned me, even after they went out of their way to gloat about it by liking my unblock request. Wikipedia is suppose to be a neutral website, well I can see now that it is not neutral at all. I made an error, mistakes are forgiven for most first time offenses, especially when I already admitted I had no idea how the talk page worked, or even what a "edit war" is. Please remove my block so that I can help contribute to a neutral cause. At the worst, I do something stupid and get blocked forever, at best, I do exactly as I said I would do and follow every rule and talk page to the T. I make my promise I will absolutely not do what I did again, especially with my understanding of these rules. I did not know Wikipedia had rules to editing, this is all new to me, and I would like the opportunity to prove myself. That is all I am asking for, no political bias, no misinformation, none of it, just factual edits with sources provided.
Decline reason:
I stopped reading after your second sentence. Clearly, it would be inappropriate to unblock you. I strongly endorse your block and thank you for your agreement to stop wasting our time with any further unblock requests. Yamla (talk) 01:39, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
