Rangers F.C. Logo
[edit]Hi Sir,
Why did you revert the Rangers logo? The one I uploaded was the correct one. Look at the colors and the logo on the official website. This light blue logo is not the correct one, maybe it was back in the days but not today.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Ultras GE (talk • contribs)
UEFA 5-Star stadia
[edit]Please stop reverting the sourced changes to the Rangers article. The criterion for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. You do not provide any sources for your version of events, whereas i have both provided a primary source (UEFA itself, the body the gives the ratings), various secondary sources and made an effort to establish confirmation from others. If we can establish Celtic Park is not officially rated from a verifiable source, then i will happily revert to your version myself. Until then, however, please read WP:V and note that your assertion that something is "incorrect" is irrelevent in deciding what should and should not be added to articles. Thank you. Rockpocket 17:32, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
There was previously a link there with proof to the contrary before it was changed. You may also want to see UEFA Stadia List.Archibald99 20:58, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- You are incorrect, i'm afraid. This dif shows that there was no "proof to the contrary" before i changed it. Moreover, the template at UEFA Stadia List was changed today as the first edit on an anonymous user, with no edit summary and no source. Who might have that been, i wonder? Either way, it is now reverted and should remain that way until you - or your anonymous colleague - can provide evidence to the contrary. Thank you. Rockpocket 06:44, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
There was proof to the contrary, as I created the Stadium section of the Rangers article and included a page with evidence. And kindly, don't accuse me of making edits with no proof. Thank you. Archibald99 12:35, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- Then where is it? Perhaps you can provide the dif showing your "proof", we can add it back and everyone will be happy. As yet, you have spent a lot of time telling me that you are right, but you to provide any sources whatsoever. Rockpocket 17:01, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Archie,
I notice you've edited out the sentence "In recent times the song has been used to incite religious hatred and some institutions have banned renditions of it. " from The Sash. Did you remove the sentence because it is not true? My understanding is that some institutions have indeed taken this - albeit regrettable, even stupid - approach. Image copyright problem with Image:Murray_Park.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Murray_Park.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. Unspecified source for Image:Rangers2dundeeunited2carddisplay.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Rangers2dundeeunited2carddisplay.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Alexj2002 17:06, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:TrinityCathedralFire2006.jpg

attendence of Serbia v. Azerbaijan
[edit]Just wanted to inform you that this game was behind closed doors [1], stadium was empty, you can see in the pictures as well [2]. In this case, Sky Sports is definitely wrong, which leads me to question the other attendence numbers.
Please see this Reuters article: [3]
- The Serbians were ordered to play one game in an empty stadium for crowd trouble in their final World Cup qualifier against Bosnia last October. Their Spanish coach Javier Clemente was happy with the outcome after finding it difficult to motivate the players with no fans present. "They fought well and made it difficult for us. It was very hard for my players to lift themselves in a ghastly empty stadium," he told a news conference.

André beinö
[edit]Hi, I notice you speedy tagged André beinö, but this is more appropriate for a prod or an AfD nomination. Since the article claims he was in a film, which IMDB supports, there is an assertion of notability. (Of course, I don't think for a second that this actor would pass an AfD debate, since this assertion is really, really weak, but procedurally that's how we have to go with this one.) Anyway, if you still think it should be deleted, please consider tagging it with {{prod}} or nominating if for AfD. --- Deville (Talk) 18:17, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi. I noticed that you tagged Anselm Turmeda as an AfD, but you didn't follow up with an Article for Deletion page. I have done that for you as a matter of procedure, so perhaps you would like to visit the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anselm Turmeda page and contribute your thoughts. I, personally, do not think these would pass the fair use criterion: "Where no free equivalent is available or could be created" as one could easily take a free image of any of these players oneself. Nevertheless, if you can make a valid claim, you should do so. Rockpocket 00:28, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

sorry
[edit]i was just doing it for fun, and im pretty sure that unless you look it up, no one will come across it.
How did you come across it? just curious.
oh, and did you delete it?
With regard to the above article, you tagged it with a AfD within two minutes of creation. While I agree that the article does not meet the requirements of WP:CORP and should be deleted, I have two issues. First, consideration of using the {{PROD}} would likely be a better choice. AfD is over run with volume recently (and the reason prod was introduced in Feb/06) and prod usually takes less time in the long run. Second, when going to an AfD, it is usually better to provide more then just a simple link to policy/guideline - include it in a complete sentence usually helps.
