Weak keep, maybe merge- mainly due to the fact the accident has grounded all helicopters of the type involved until a fleetwide problem can be ruled out. However, WP:TOOSOON may apply in that regard. The majority of the victims were also officers, which could impart notability if they were of high enough rank. If none of these become factors of notability (or are already factors), I'd prefer we merge it with the main article on the type of helicopter involved. Weak keep for now - I'm inclined to say keep at the moment. Looking at the article for the type of helicopter involved, it looks like this may be the first crash in its history. Also, there's the reasons Kirbanzo pointed out. Love of Corey (talk) 20:19, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Comment/Opinion - Until the 5 people that are missing are found or declared dead, it is a Strong keep for me, but once they are declared dead or found, then I vote Merge into HMCS Fredericton (FFH 337). The crash is notable to have mentioned somewhere. Currently as there are active search parties for the missing, it is notable, but once the searching stops, then it still deserves a mention, but not an article. Delete/merge The details of this article should be filed under either HMCS Fredericton (FFH 337) or Sikorsky CH-148 Cyclone. While the event is tragic, military equipment failures are one of the more common causes of death and not unique or notable enough for an independent article. The only way would be if there would be enough third party information to note its uniqueness, ie. large loss of life, crash on civilian areas, notable political event between two nations causing loss of aircraft and life, etc. Krazytea(talk) 21:00, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
