File:Molirena1989poster.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Soman (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

File was tagged with {{di-disputed fair use rationale}}, but the template was removed here. The changes made to the caption with this edit by Soman still do not address the concerns made about the file's non-free use because there is still no sourced discussion of this poster at all within the article so the context required by WP:NFCC#8 is lacking. None of the article content requires that the reader see this particular poster to be understood, so removing it will have not be detrimental to the reader's understanding at all. The file's use seem to be primarily decorative which is not really something allowed by WP:NFCC. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:59, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - no sourced discussion about the poster so there is not the contextual significance needed for a non free image. --Whpq (talk) 03:19, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - It's use in the article is adequate to justify its fair-use. A political campaign of that era runs on its posters, they are its visual means of communication, this image illustrates that. Andy Dingley (talk) 09:12, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If this particular poster is significant in such a way that removing it would be detrimental to the reader's understanding of the subject of the article, then there should be some sourced discussion of this significance somewhere in the article itself. The candidate depicted on the poster seems to be Guillermo Endara, who is only mentioned once in the entire article: "The MOLIRENA was again part of the Democratic Alliance of Civic Opposition (ADOC) electoral alliance in May 1989 which supported the presidential candidacy of Guillermo Endara of the Arnulfista Party ..." A non-free poster does not seem to be needed for the reader to understand that sentence. -- Marchjuly (talk) 10:34, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, how would a reader of the article get an understanding of the graphical profile and graphical discourse of the party without an actual image? The image represents the graphic profile at a certain juncture, but illustrates well how Panamanian parties communicate to their voters (such as how constituency is presented, how parliamentary and presidential candidatures are combined). --Soman (talk) 13:29, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There is no sourced discussion of any of that type of thing at all anywhere to be found in the article. If this poster is significant in such a way that removing it would be detrimental to the reader understanding any of the those things, then that information should be added to the article and supported by a reliable source to avoid being challenged as WP:OR. Otherwise, it just is a poster with some text, the logo of the party (which can already be seen in the infobox so another non-free image is not needed per WP:NFCC#3a), and the picture of the candidate (who can be seen at Guillermo Endara). The reader does not really need to see an election poster to understand that the names of both parliamentary and presidential candidates appeared on it in text and that the constituency was described a certain way on it in text. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:33, 13 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Hurt Film Poster.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Blue Adventure (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Non-free film poster, incorrectly uploaded to illustrate Hurt (2015 film) (which it has nothing to do with). And the film it does belong to, Hurt (2009 film), already has File:Hurt poster 5 RGB 96dpi.jpg on it, so this is simple duplication. Delete. Bearcat (talk) 05:04, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:The Blues Brothers (video game) first level gameplay demo.gif (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by NeoGenPT (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Game screenshots can be useful (and sometimes needed) to much better display an aspect of an article subject. However, this image seems to be nothing more than decoration for the article. Also, I'm pretty sure that for the most part, Wikipedia doesn't allow .GIF animated screenshots of non-free video games. editorEهեইдအ😎 06:48, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Convert to a single, illustrative screenshot, which would better serve the purposes of the image's fair use rationale. It's important to have a visualization of the gameplay and art style, but this clip is excessive and, as of now, unjustified. czar 02:19, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
