This page is, quite frankly, useless. I mean, how does it help anybody? It seems to have been intended as a Main Page sandbox, but it is out of date compared to the real Main Page. This, that and the other [talk] 08:12, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Keep, the correct thing to do with out-of-date pages is to tag them with Template:Historical, not delete them. In this case there's no need to do that, as it would ruin the look of the page. A quick glance at Wikipedia talk:Main Page/Test should clearly show why this page is historically significant. Graham87 10:20, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- OK, the talk page is interesting. But I still can't see that the page should be kept. If we must keep it, it should be renamed. Also, why bother keeping a page when nobody seems to know it's there? This, that and the other [talk] 07:17, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- The whole joy of Wikipedia is finding pages that one didn't know existed, including in the Wikipedia namespace. Just to clarify, this page used to be at Main Page/Test but was moved in December 2006 to preserve history. several pages link to the original title, and these links show that the page is historically important in showing how the Wikipedia Main Page evolved. - Keep. If you don't like it where it is, you could move it to a Wikipedia:Historical archive subpage; but there is no reason to delete pages showing the history of Wikipedia just because they're apparently now useless. (I speak as the admin who once spent a while chasing down what had happened to the earlier part of the history of the now defunct WP:RFI; it's all out of date info now, but the history is occasionally of interest to people.) --ais523 19:54, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
