This user's names and creations make it pretty clear when it is him. His intention here is obviously to get recognition. If he can't get it via articles, it is possible that he feels some sort of absurd recognition with all this SPI stuff. Maybe it's time to stop tagging and SPI filing. Are we ready to stop feeding and start denying? Maybe he'll discover Wikia or some proper webhosting place and stop wasting his time here with these futile efforts.   • I think there's a deliberate campaign to legitimize Alisha Panwar by promoting her at Wikipedia. The Fabulousdiana edits are a bit different, since this one editor seems bent on using repetitive and vague edit summaries a la "Very nice and fabulous article about ___". They didn't start out promoting Alisha Panwar though. This account seems like it might be mechanical. This edit is a weird one, for sure.   • Indeffed Alisha Panwar me mm as a duck of Alisha Actress. Indeffed Alisha Actress as well. I think these two accounts are likely socks of one another and there's definite promotion of Alisha Panwar going on, but the Fabulousdiana account is probably some payola meatpuppet based on the dissimilarity between their edits and the other two Alisha accounts. The method of this sockmaster is to create redirect articles along the lines of Alisha Panwar (actress), Alisha Panwar, etc, before redirecting the new article to Draft:Alisha Panwar. Flicker 0056 was blocked for repeatedly recreating Suman Gupta. The other two accounts are SPAs, trying to recreate the article in Wikipedia space (which Flicker also did) - probably because the mainspace title is now salted. They have also been posting identical outbursts at the draft page where the misplaced attempt was moved. They really don't like drafts, for whatever reason. Cf this with this, for instance. Preeta Arora claims to be a new account, but I strongly doubt that a brand new account would immediately find a draft and place a G7 tag on it.

The user also claims to be a "file uploader in commons" (although their global contributions only show edits at en.wiki). This is kind of getting disruptive and I'm shocked with the result so far. The IP left a message at SA 13 Bro's talk page with an unblock request which clearly demonstrates the IP being Shiwam's IP sock.

4 minutes later, SA 13 Bro was indefinitely blocked because an admin thinks the account is a sockpuppet: see reviewed request.

I would like to mention that Shiwam's sock has actually done the same thing on my talk page earlier - see this edit, I was online so I was able to immediately revert the edit.

I am very confident that SA 13 Bro is unrelated to Shiwam Kumar Sriwastaw. If a checkuser wants to make a quick check, they are free to go ahead and prove SA 13 Bro is not Shiwam.

Shiwam is starting to leave unblock requests on other user's talk pages and this can potentially trick admins into thinking the messages are left by the targeted user. Alternative reading would be the original Shiwam's page, where the user's talk page access was revoked months ago and the IP was making unblock request edits so that admins have to spend the time to deal with requests left on a tpa-revoked user. I'm pinging Jpgordon regarding this, I don't think you've really checked SA 13 Bro's account since you have access to the checkuser tools, nor are you familiar with Shiwam Kumar Sriwastaw's behaviors. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 18:54, 30 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • As somewhat of a Shivam expert, I also concur that SA 13 BRO is not him. Yes, Shivam leaves unblock messages on his sock's pages (as well as barnstars, etc), but he also leaves unblocks and proxy edit requests on numerous innocent user pages, often a user he sees editing an article that Shivam tried to edit. I know even less than that. It showed up as a report on AIV, I followed it to the edit filter it tripped, and the edit filter recommended taking it to SPI (see notes here, which I did. If it's a false positive, that's fine too. I didn't look any deeper than that. Edit filter is strange magic to me. I'm more than a little suspicious of an anonymous editor who has posted on Area 1108's talk page. Only 24 hours after this editor's first post an IP requested a page move,[14] and then, shortly after that, requested Area1108 create an article.[15] The IP has also found its way to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chakradhari Ajay Krishna (TV series).   • Given that the article in question has survived deletion, and that the user has now not edited for a couple of weeks, I'm personally not comfortable running a check on the account; I'm guessing that other checkusers feel similarly, and that this is why the case has sat untouched for a few weeks. New editor who made 10 edits on their first day, and then a few days later, being autoconfirmed, started moving pages around "approving AfC requests". One such "request" was Draft:Suman Gupta (Indian Actress) which had been created by an IP on the previous day and was not submitted for AfC review (miraculously, Honorr62 found the draft anyway, and moved it to Suman Gupta (actress)) and as we know, that is one of SKS' favourite articles to recreate. Another SKS related article move was Draft:RadhaKrishn which was created by another IP in the same range and "approved" by Honorr62 who moved it to RadhaKrishn (TV series). bonadea contributions talk 15:29, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Editing in the same area, recreated Sunila Karambelkar and showing interest in Draft:Kritika Sharma created by an IP a few minutes ago and miraculously, Goodd-002 found it immediately. TaufikKapoor1306 recreated the Shrimad Bhagwat article at Shrimad Bhagwat (TV series). The same user has also created user pages for 3 IP addresses with only a deletion template without rationale. Those deletion requests were then declined by 2 admins, and I have re-tagged them for deletion with a rationale. The same 3 IPs have also edited the List of programs broadcast by Colors article.   • All of the confirmed and suspected socks are  Stale. I will note, however, that when a new editor shows up and starts recreating deleted articles and asking for deleted articles to be restored, and all of those articles are tied to WP:PAID socks, then the likelihood that this editor is also violating our Terms of Use is significant even if they're not tied to a specific sockmaster.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:19, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Wow, this case name is a blast from the past. Given the length of time that has passed since SKS was last active, I don't think there is enough evidence to determine this is a sockpuppet. I'll also note that, from what I recall, SKS rarely interacted with other editors, and when they did, it was with relatively poor quality English (e.g. [28]). Commonedits seems to communicate pretty actively and overall feels like a different person behaviorally. As Ponyo mentioned, the overlap on topics previously suspected to be PAID-related may warrant additional attention, perhaps at a different noticeboard.
