- Project News
- The nominations period for the semi-annual Coordinators election is now open. With the expansion from five to seven coordinators, we are in need of members who are interested in serving as a coordinator. Sign-ups will be from September 1-14, with the voting stage lasting from September 15-28.
- Our project is having its annual roll call. All of the members' names have been moved to the inactive list. If you still consider yourself active with the project, please move your name over to the active list.
- Two new task forces were created recently: A British films task force and Soviet and post-Soviet films task force. Both task forces currently have limited membership and would benefit from new interested members to help with expansion. If you would like to help, please sign up on the task forces' pages.
- Our project now has nearly 45,000 film-related articles that have been assessed by our assessment department! Remember to always add the {{Film|class=}} template to a film article's talk page so the project can get a better idea of what work still needs to be done. Below is a table showing a breakdown of our articles by class. If you're interested in viewing our project's progress in relation to other projects, see here.
- Spotlight Update: Multiple films and film-related articles have reached GA and FL status in July 2008.

- Recipient of the WikiProject Films Award: Sephiroth BCR for contributing to nine featured lists!
- Please add your name to the member list if you have not already.

- 1. "That's correct, Wendy. We all wear masks, metaphorically speaking."
- 2. "We have an unusual problem here, Jane. You obviously want me dead, and I'm less and less concerned for your well-being."
- 3. "We can stay up late, swapping manly stories, and in the morning, I'm making waffles!"
- 4. "She was beautiful. God, I loved her. I just didn't know how to show it, that's all. I killed her, Red. I didn't pull the trigger, but I drove her away. And that's why she died, because of me."
- 5. "Hold me, Ani. Hold me, like you did by the lake on Naboo...where there was nothing but our love..."
- 6. "Summer romances begin for all kinds of reasons, but when all is said and done, they have one thing in common. They're shooting stars, a spectacular moment of light in the heavens, fleeting glimpse of eternity, and in a flash they're gone."
- 7. "Oh my God, Doug. This is the most amazing place I've ever been." "Guys, guys. This is the coat room. The club's in here."
- 8. "Join the Mobile Infantry and save the Galaxy. Service guarantees citizenship. Would you like to know more?"
- 9. "We're going to go home now and never ever under any circumstances known to God-speak about this again. Is that clear? It's now a future therapy bill."
- 10. "Put 'em up, put 'em up! Which one of you first? I can fight you both together if you want. I can fight you with one paw tied behind my back. I can fight you standing on one foot. I can fight you with my eyes closed. Oh, pull an axe on me, eh? Sneaking up on me, eh? Why, I'll...Ruff!"
