To be used with the ProofreadPage extension, the individual pages of A Treatise on Electricity and Magnetism need to be moved to conform to that extension's naming conventions. Around 600 page moves are required. The redirect pages thus created should be made into {{dated soft redirect}}s. In addition, some template calls need to be wrapped in <noinclude> tags to avoid transclusion. Around 1800 operations are required in total. The operations requested in particular are:
The operations should be executed in the indicated order, except that the moves and the placing of the soft redirects may be interspersed in the obvious way, if they can't be processed in a single batch.
Status: Done. More trouble with page.move: reports failure even if page move succeeded. Pages 111–121 will need special treatment later on.--TalBot09:10, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Status: Done. The task was completed after only 53 minutes despite a jumpy start (several interruptions were necessary due to badly escaped regex characters). Obviously, page moves are not throttled in pywikipedia. This seems to be a feature rather than a bug.--TalBot09:06, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Description
If Step 1 goes all well, handle pages 11–70 slightly faster
Status: Done. Some damage done due to a combination of missing pages and poor exception handling. Hopefully fixed now.--TalBot08:05, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
About a thousand of these need to have "Proclamation #" removed from the line above the header. All following 4850 (except 4869) need this change, apparently. --Spangineerwp(háblame)02:38, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
