Old Armenian

[edit]From Proto-Indo-European *s/Hapʰ- or *s/Hap-s- and cognate with Ancient Greek ἅπτω (háptō), ἁφή (haphḗ).[1][2][3] Perhaps also cognate with Sanskrit अप्सस् (apsas, “breast, forehead, front side”), Tocharian A āpsā (“minor limbs”) and Hittite [script needed] (ḫappeššar-, “limb, part of the body”).[3] See also հափափեմ (hapʻapʻem).
