Suffix
[edit]Usage notes
[edit]Usually, this suffix is attached to the full stem of the base word. Thus, the variant -π°π²π (-ags) (variant -π°π·π (-ahs)) is mostly associated with derivations from a-stem nouns, -π΄πΉπ²π (-eigs) with derivations from i-stem nouns and -πΏπ²π (-ugs) with derivations from u-stem nouns. These do not however seem to have been fixed rules and occasionally there are atypical derivations, such as π πΏπ»πΈπ°π²π (wulΓΎags) from the u-stem π πΏπ»πΈπΏπ (wulΓΎus) and note the alternation between long and short vowels in π²π°π±πΉπ²π (gabigs) (apparently with a suffix -igs) and π²π°π±π΄πΉπ²π (gabeigs).
