• Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy documenting how Wiktionary pages should be formatted. All entries should conform to this standard. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing page for a similar word, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
• Our Criteria for inclusion (CFI) define exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary, though it may be a bit technical and longwinded. The most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
• If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
• The FAQ aims to answer most of your remaining questions, and there are several help pages that you can browse for more information.
• A glossary of our technical jargon, and some hints for dealing with the more common communication issues.
• If you have anything to ask about or suggest, we have several discussion rooms. Feel free to ask any other editors in person if you have any problems or question, by posting a message on their talk page.

Usage examples

Much thanks for your Korean grammar-related edits. Just a note, copying usage examples from other websites (even when the link to www.howtostudykorean.com is provided as a reference) could potentially run afoul of copyright. It's better if you can find a quotation from a news source (e.g. something off Naver News) or a book on Google Books. (These can be quoted with {{quote-web}}.)

In addition, while the guidelines at WT:Criteria for Inclusion are not super clear on how it applies to Korean, 기 때문에 (gi ttaemune) and 기 때문이다 (gi ttaemunida) are probably sums of parts, so I think they should be redirected to 때문 (ttaemun). I've set up a discussion at WT:Requests for deletion/Non-English, where you can comment on what you think.

Problematic edits to Japanese entries

Hello, I just reverted your addition at the ぬ (nu) entry. I've noticed that you are adding voluminous amounts of content to Japanese entries, and that some of your grammar notes are incorrect. For instance, ぬ is not necessarily archaic, and is still in common use in certain contexts; ぬ and ず are different conjugations of the same thing, so naturally they cannot be used interchangeably in the same grammatical constructions; ぬ is bound to the 未然形, while ない is also the plain negative of the copula and can thus follow the 連用形 of adjectives; etc. etc. I am also concerned that your additions appear to be verbatim copies from the sources you reference, raising the possibility of potential copyright issues. Ultimately, I made the judgment call to back out your edit rather than try to perform surgery on the content you'd added.

I have also deleted the なくて (nakute) page you created, for much the same reasons, and for the second time. Please do not re-create that page as it was.

Please do not copy from reference works.

Please use more than one reference to ensure that what you are adding is accurate.

Also, please bear in mind that Wiktionary is a dictionary -- not a grammar reference or language textbook.
