República de Weimar (1918-33)
[editar]Después de la pérdida de la Primera Guerra Mundial, Alemania fue transformada en lo que se conoció como la República de Weimar, que fue fundada según las normas formuladas bajo el Tratado de Versalles.[75] Esto requería la reducción del Ejército alemán a 100.000 efectivos,[76] una reducción de la Marina alemana,[76] y la abolición de la Fuerza Aérea Alemana.[76] Como resultado de los nuevos ajustes militares, no se crearon nuevos mariscales de campo durante la República de Weimar.
