International Year One entry requirements

If you are applying for the International Year One

You can start your studies with a UKVI approved Secure English Language Test (SELT), provided you have met all the programme entry requirements.

The test results must have been achieved in the past 24 months and meet the minimum English equivalency score for your chosen programme.

  • Study Group English Language Preparation (Online) for UG Studies

You will need to obtain a SELT with the required minimum score to make a Student Visa application in order to come to campus.

Additional requirementsEngineering route students: evidence of Grade B A-level Maths (or equivalent)

*If you do not need a Student visa, or are exempted in another way, we can accept equivalent proof of English.

If you are applying to study in the UK under the Student visa route it may be necessary for you to submit a Secure English Language Test (SELT) as part of your visa application.

Year 12 (HSC) GPA: 3.75 overall (3.75 in English, 3.5 in relevant subjects)  plus 1 year of further studies (degree/diploma)

(Note 1: HSC Maths GPA 3.75 is required for Computing, Engineering, Finance & Accounting)
(Note 2: For Business and Management, Film & Media, International Relations and International Development if student does not have Maths at HSC then Maths accepted at SSC at GPA 3.5).

ChinaSH3 : 75% in 4 or more subjects including relevant subjects

SH2 : 70% or above in 4 or more subjects plus 1 year of further year of study with a pass
Or
SH3 : SH3 60% plus 50% in Gaokao
ColombiaSuccessful completion of Bachillerato in 5 relevant subjects including a minimum of B in Maths for Business & Management and Computing routes + ICFES in 4 relevant subjects including 70% in Maths for Business Management and Computing routes + 1 further year of study
GhanaSuccessful completion of the West African Higher School Certificate (WAEC) and Ghanaian A Level and evidence of further study
Hong KongHKDSE: 3,3,2 - all subjects accepted
IndiaStandard 10+2 with 65% or above
IndonesiaSMU3 grade 7.5 (5 relevant subjects required) or 1st year of university study with grade 2.0 and above
IranCompleted 2 years Kardani with 13/20 OR 1 year towards Kardani at 14/20 and work experience.
JapanHigh School Leaving Certificate with GPA 3.5 (If lower than GPA 3.5, evidence of one year of further study will be considered)
JordanSuccessful completion of Tawjihi plus evidence of further study
KazakhstanCertificate of Secondary Education with grade 4 & 5 across all subjects plus evidence of further study
KoreaSuccessful completion of SH3 with a grade average of 4 with at least 4th grade in relevant/prerequisite subjects
