പുറം കടൽ വാസിയായ ഒരു മൽസ്യമാണ് നാടൻ നിലംതല്ലിസ്രാവ് അഥവാ Common Thresher (Thresher). (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Alopias vulpinus). ഐ യു സി എൻ പട്ടികപ്രകാരമുള്ള പരിപാലന സ്ഥിതി വംശനാശ സാദ്ധ്യതയുള്ള ജീവികൾ എന്നാണ്. . കാലോചിതമായി ദേശാടനം നടത്തുന്ന ഇനമാണ് ഇവ. ^[1]

ശരീര ഘടന

ഏകദേശം 3 മീറ്റർ വരെ നീളം വെക്കാറുണ്ട് . ഭാരം 230 കിലോ വരെ ആണ് . വളരെ നീളമേറിയ വാലാണ് ഇവയുടെ സവിശേഷത , ഈ വാല് കൊണ്ട് തല്ലി മയക്കി ഇവ ചെറു മത്സ്യങ്ങളെ ഭക്ഷിക്കാറുണ്ട് .

ആവാസ വ്യവസ്ഥ

ഉഷ്‌ണമേഖല കടലുകളിൽ ആണ് ഇവയെ കാണുന്നത് . പുറം കടൽ വാസി ആണെകിലും ഇടക്ക് ഇവയെ തീര കടലിലും കാണുന്നു .

പ്രജനനം

മുട്ടയിടുന്ന ഇനത്തിൽ പെട്ട സ്രാവാണ് ഇവ, എന്നിരുന്നാലും മുട്ടകൾ അമ്മയുടെ വയറ്റിന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ തന്നെ വിരിഞ്ഞു കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ വളർച്ച പ്രാപിക്കാതെ മറ്റു മുട്ടകൾ ഭക്ഷണമാകുന്നു , ഒരു പ്രാവശ്യം 4 കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ ഇവയ്ക്ക് ഉണ്ടാക്കു.

കുടുംബം

തൃഷർ കുടുംബത്തിൽ പെട്ട സ്രാവ് ആണ് ഇവ. ഈ കുടുംബത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിപ്പമേറിയവ ആണ് ഇവ.^[2]
