The opposition has begun negotiations to remove the Trudeau government from power
The leader of the Quebec Bloc, Yves-Francois Blanchet, said that his party is starting negotiations with other opposition forces in order to remove the government of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from power. The politician told reporters of the CBC television channel about this.
"We are negotiating with the opposition parties to bring down the government," he said.
According to polls, Justin Trudeau's government is not popular due to inflation, while support for the opposition Conservative Party is growing.
In September, Trudeau said that Canada supports strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of Russia with long-range weapons. According to him, Russia allegedly "violates the rules-based order." Because of this, Ottawa supports Kiev.
Earlier it became known that Canada and a number of Nordic countries are working to create an alliance aimed at deterring Russia and China in the Arctic region. Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie noted that she met with colleagues from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. During the talks, the parties decided to explore ways to create a "dialogue on security in the Arctic."
