Windows Movie Maker (also known as Windows Live Movie Maker) is an discontinued video recorder software released on September 14, 2000 for Windows ME and on October 25, 2001 for Windows XP. Windows Movie Maker supports Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Windows Movie Maker was discontinued on January 10, 2017, along with the discontinuation of Windows Live Essentials, later replaced by Video Editor on Windows 10.

Windows Movie Maker was released for the Windows ME operating system on September 14, 2000 and for Windows XP on October 25, 2001. In 2007, it was released as Windows Live Movie Maker for Windows Vista and added to Windows Live Essentials.

Windows Movie Maker has supported Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. It has been discontinued on January 10, 2017, along with Windows Live Essentials. It was replaced by Video Editor on Windows 10.
