Lugaru is an action-adventure game set in a world of anthropomorphic talking animals. It features a complex martial arts combat system that takes advantage of ragdoll physics to allow a wide variety of moves and counter-attacks. Lugaru features no HUD, instead conveying Turner's injuries through posture, bloodied wounds, and blurred or darkened vision. Wolfire Games is currently working on a sequel called Overgrowth.
The name Lugaru is a phonetic spelling of "loup-garou", the French term for a werewolf.
Story[edit | edit source]
After his village is attacked by the Raiders, Turner seeks revenge on those responsible, and discovers that the attack was part of a plot that threatens the future security of the whole island. To put things right he must seek out the rabbit king, Hickory, and the wolves' alpha male, Ash.
