[edit]Between the United States Supreme Court's Gregg v. Georgia decision upholding the use of the death penalty in the United States in 1976, and Maryland's abolition of the death penalty in 2013, a total of five people convicted of murder have been executed by the state of Maryland. All were executed by lethal injection.
