Position by round
[edit]Should position by round be our position in the western conference or overall in the league? Overall league table is pretty irrelevant now in MLS since playoffs are completely based on your conference ranking. Not to mention the MLS website doesn't even have a table for overall, just eastern and western conference.
Position by round also isn't even very helpful with how the MLS schedule works as they're not typically broken up into one match a week for each team as they are with most European competition. Some teams play more than one match a week while others may play none. For example, there are 7 matches in the first week of the season meaning 5 teams don't even play. - If it was a matched season with each team playing the same number of matches each week position by round would make sense, but since it isn't, I wouldn't list it at all. However if you're going to list it, I would do league as it was last year and other clubs do. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:28, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, that makes sense. Do you know a site that lists the overall table? Or will we just have to figure it out ourselves? As mentioned the MLS site doesn't list it and I've checked a couple of other sports sites but they also just show by conference. I'll probably keep track, but hidden to start, to see how it goes. - someone did it last year. He set-up a spreadsheet using google apps but it was cumbersome and bordered on WP:OR. While adding isn't OR, this was just just a bit more complicated than that. Gerber should just play weekends like other first division leagues. It would make international play, cup play and other similar event easier to manage. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:32, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- That would certainly be so much better but I won't hold my breath with Garber. I've removed the position row for now. One95 (talk) 20:30, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Jerseys
[edit]Second uniform is a dark blue. See the Le Toux photo in the second section. The third is dark brown. Both are currently black. Can anyone change them? --Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:45, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
November releases
[edit]Three players were released today: Brian Sylvestre, Tiago Ulisses and Etienne Barbara while the changes won't be reflected until to December 2, following the league's Roster Freeze. http://www.whitecapsfc.com/news/2012/11/caps-sylvestre-ulisses-barbara
Do we indicate the release for this season or for the 2013 season? --Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:48, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
