JTWC:
14/15F
[edit]Im wondering if it would be better to treat 14/15F as one system, since they may have merged together and both impacted Fiji. This would mean just one section for both depressions but we should keep the seasonal effects/timeline together.Jason Rees (talk) 14:45, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Hadi
[edit]I have boldy decided to combine the sections on 16/20F, since a forecaster from the BoM has privately stated to me that RSMC Nadi assigned the system that became Hadi two desigantions 16/20F. The 20F designation can be proved to be the remants of Hadi based on the Brisbane TWOs from Saturday onwards, while if you follow the TWO's through 16F can be proved to be Hadi.Jason Rees (talk) 16:35, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Subtropical storm?
[edit]Should the subtropical storm per JTWC (98P) be mentioned somewhere? If not in its own section, under Other storms? atomic7732 19:48, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
- I think it should be added to Other Storms as should a brief a mention of Ita, since per BoM it was 0.5 degrees away from the basin.Jason Rees (talk) 19:52, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
- Agreed on the subtropical storm. not sure about Ita. On one hand, it did affect the Solmons. On the other, it was not an SPAC storm. YE Pacific Hurricane 20:18, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
Tropical Disturbance 16F/20F (Hadi) Info
[edit]Shouldn't we add some more information on why this storm received 2 different designations from RSMC Nadi? Also, some extra info on the storm's behavior couldn't hurt either. 72.197.234.162 (talk) 00:09, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, and why don't we start an article on this system? It's pretty rare for a storm to cross basins multiple times like this one did, and to end up receiving 3 different identifiers from 2 different agencies. 72.197.234.162 (talk) 00:13, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
- We do not have any information that we can cite on why it was assigned two designations by Nadi so we cant add it. I am also not a fan of giving it an article, just because it happened to move across the random 160E border three times especially when there is very little impact around.Jason Rees (talk) 00:26, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
- Isn't there any more information out there that we could scrounge up to create this article? It would definitely help, since the data on the storm is split between 2 different season articles and seems to be a little muddy in some areas. LightandDark2000 (talk) 08:28, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
- You all know where the logs of advisories are kept and how to write sections, but i am still opposed to giving it an article for the reasons i outlined above.Jason Rees (talk) 12:12, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

SE Charts
[edit]@LightandDark2000 and 178.202.135.29: I do not care if you think it is better for the readers - the bolding in the season effects charts is not needed and goes against MOS:Bold which states that "Boldface is only for certain usages."Jason Rees (talk) 14:12, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
To do:
[edit]Just a general list of what is left to do with the article.
- 02F needs its impact expanding if possible.
- Ian, June, Edna, Kofi, Hadi, Lusi and Mike need expanding.
09F needs writing/merging with other systems.- 13F,
17F,21F need writing/cleaning up - Other systems will need a general clean up to make it flow better once 09F, 13F, 17F and 21F are written. A decent seasonal summuary would be good to get written as well.Jason Rees (talk) 23:00, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
