Baptists or Anabaptists
[edit]It seems it was initially German Anabaptists that began to introduce a form of Protestantism to Ukraine. Although there were small numbers of Lutherans and others before, but they did not really share their faith actively with Ukrainians. My main point is that Anabaptists and Baptists are not the same. It seems like Baptists became the predominant evangelical Protestant group to take hold in Ukraine, but these were predominantly American and British Baptists presumably directly or indirectly related to John Smyth and Thomas Helwys and not the German Anabaptists that initially invited local Ukrainians to their Bible study hour or "shtunde." This information is all very unclear and misleading in this article as written. 198.252.245.244 (talk) 20:54, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
