Comment and questions
[edit]You are doing an excellent work here, but i've some questions:
- Is it true that one of the first application of this subjet was the liberation of hierarchy methods in the proofs of the sphere, torus and annulus theorems?
- How much -if any- prominence play the concept
s of the ends of spaces (or ends of groups) andof the almost-invariant sets? - Would it be good to add Scott-Wall "topological methods in group theory" in the references? I think this survey illustrate perfectly the covering-space's role you mentioned, congrats again--kmath (talk) 06:03, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- I recast the q 'cuz i already read all the article--kmath (talk) 01:39, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
- I am not sure about the first question (re sphere, torus and annulus theorems), I'll have to ask my colleagues who are 3-d topology experts. Regarding adding the Scott and Wall reference, sure, good idea, will do. Nsk92 (talk) 01:47, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
