Article currently reads "Today it is known as a Ghost Town and the centerpiece of the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park", as if the town is in the park. On the other hand, the source termed "NHL writeup" states that the Sutter's Mill and much of the town is included in the park, suggesting not. Which is included in what? Or are the NHL district, the town, and the park overlapping, but without any one fully including either of the others? I'm even more confused after reading the nhl nomination form which I'm guessing is a boundary increase request as it states that Coloma is *already* an NHL. thoughts? dm (talk) 23:55, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The NRHP document here, as in many other cases, is not a nomination, but rather is an inventory. It is dated 1970; the NHL was declared in 1961. I did not have access to this document when i did my previous edits, at the time when i chose to create and/or move the infobox to the State park article, because the NPS Focus system was down for several days. This document makes me think the NHL is the park, and nothing else, I guess. The first title of the document is the park name, second title is alternate name Coloma. I am wondering if the right thing to do would be to MERGE the Coloma article and the state park article. If Coloma is just an unincorporated place as you pointed out, rather than a legal town, it does not necessarily need a separate article. This is just wondering aloud though, i haven't properly looked at the articles' contents to consider if they could be merged. doncram (talk) 02:10, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What's with the infobox extending into the references?
There appears to be some sort of rendering glitch, but I do not know enough to diagnose it. The only thing I know for sure is that it existed before any of my edits to this page. I haven't seen anything like it before. 1980fast (talk) 03:22, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
