Great
[edit]Brilliant additions on Erasmis and translation by Fanfwah - thanks Victuallers (talk) 06:28, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Funny to find this story of "collective translation"! BTW, I have a question about the following sentences: "William Strutt and Richard French were both to go on to be Presidents of the society following Darwin's death in 1803. Strutt had been a founding member and Forester was the son of Richard French, another founding member." Who is Forester? If he is the third President, the first sentence should be fixed. If he is not, why is he mentioned? Fanfwah (talk) 07:08, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
Darwin? Challenge
[edit]- I hadn't thought of that, maybe it should have been "The Darwin Challenge"! This is significant information for Derby as Erasmus can be seen as retiring to Derby, but this is obviously not the truth. I'll need to go and re read the source about Forester although feel free to have a go. There is only one real source for this history.Victuallers (talk) 06:33, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
