Texas
[edit]How is this article related to the state of Texas?--Rebaño Sagrado 02:25, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- I am removing the WikiProject Texas thing, since the player has absolutely no relation either personal or proffessional relation with Texas. --Ageo020 04:54, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hugo played for a Dallas Burn, a Texas MLS Team.
Dubious Information
[edit]Caps and goal figures in the article likely contain European cup/Domestic cup data in addition to Domestic League data (this is very certain based on this user's previous edits containing similar information [1]. Please correct this issue and leave a note here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Alfmaster#Footballers.27_European_goals, to warn this person about putting improper information on Wikipedia. --Palffy 21:07, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- I updated the Real Madrid line on infobox to reflect only league matches and goals, as per these sources: [2] [3]. It also matches es:Hugo Sánchez. Thanks for pointing that out --ChaChaFut 21:03, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah I was just looking at his total for Real Madrid, and it said 253! Of course, the totals for the stats shouldn't include cup goals. I fixed this to show he scored 164 goals for Real Madrid. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.130.130.234 (talk) 22:58, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Suspected copyright violation?
[edit]It appears that parts of this article are almost lifted verbatim from 123football.com [4]. Not being familiar with Wikipedia's policies on suspected plagiarism as opposed to proven plagiarism, I'll leave this info here so that someone more knowledgeable on this subject can react. -- 82.73.103.141 21:54, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- Or 123football.com has a habit of lifting their info from Wikipedia since I've noticed another instance of similar verbatim copying with Mexican footballer Oswaldo Sánchez.
Read for yourself[5].--Rebaño Sagrado 02:09, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Donkey?
[edit]Donkey with a computer...that's news...you'd better go an insult your mother.Hugo's Potential as a Coach is greater than your comments skills on this site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.164.125.62 (talk) 01:56, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't know how to add a comment. Sorry... But is that just because you say it? (Referring to the allegedly "Hugo's potential")?
Best. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.127.178.84 (talk) 00:40, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Club América Days
[edit]Ah, he made 2 goals, 2 stinkin' goals!!! why do ya'll wanna fool to the readers that he made 11 ?
Honours as a player
[edit]He's the non-spanish all-time top scorer in La Liga. --189.137.68.82 (talk) 14:34, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi, just want to inform y'all I noticed an error; under the countries played in you have the chap playing for Linz in Austria but in sum totals you've replaced Austria with Australia. Lolz, no worries!
Imbalance?
[edit]It doesn't seem right that the footballing career of such a significant player is not covered as much as his (far less illustrious) time in management. Obviously, Sánchez first entered football management a long time ago but couldn't this all be construed as a bias towards recent events? It would be nice if somebody with a broader knowledge of 1980s football than myself could add some more colour to the article, particularly about Sánchez's time at Real Madrid. Thanks, PamukSoundystem (talk) 11:58, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
