[edit]Editors ought not remove information that's useful, regardless of whether the source is a company. If it's a one-resource-list, make it a two- or three-resource-list instead. Factiva is a legitimate resource for Information Professionals. I, for one, would like to see what contribution they have to offer. Unsigned comments added by anonymous User:70.19.84.92
Resources for information professionals
[edit]This may be useful, but it's a one-resource-list that serves as a spamvertisement for Factiva. It's "funny" how the SLA information quickly devolves into another spamvertisement for Factiva. If you check out the spammer's contributions to Wikipedia, they all involve posting Factiva spam in different articles. Rklawton 15:51, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
What abut undergraduate degrees in IS producing IP's?
[edit]I consider myself an Information Professional and I only have a BS in Information Science. Half of my major classes and nearly all my major electives were IS classes taught at the Masters Level.
I can run circles around most current IS grad students, so why is the title privy to only those with a MSIS/MSLS?
Sounds kind of shady and snobbish to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Theothertomjones (talk • contribs) 21:33, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
IPs are a wide range of occupations
[edit]Information Professionals is the all encompassing group of which Archivists and Librarians are only a part. There are many other people in a wide range of occupations who are 'information professionals'.

Update the first paragraph
[edit]I feel like the first paragraph is not clear enough and could use some updating. I have done so. Will try and update it some more soon. --Sally.Albright (talk) 03:51, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
