Split tag
[edit]There has been a split tag on the article since Feb, but no explanation. Sub-articles may be created when sections grow too large according to guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/Guideline and WP:Summary style. As the tag is unclear, I am removing it. SilkTork *YES! 17:38, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
There seems to be no description about Kamuning as to the sub-divisions it belongs to in Quezon City. Whether Kamias is indeed a part of Project 5 is also questionable since there is a document that indicates Brgy. E. Rodriquez is actually Project 5. kalibkib (talk) 07:51, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
<Cityname> <City>
[edit]There is a discussion regarding the removal of the word "city" from the article titles of Philippine cities. For city names which are not unique, disambiguation alternatives are also being presented. Formal request for page move may follow after a reasonable time of discussion. If you wish to participate, please post your comments here. --JinJian (talk) 05:15, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Image in infobox
[edit]I have reverted edits replacing the image currently used in the infobox showing a collage of buildings and locations in Quezon City. User:Mervynbunique has made previous edits replacing the image with a photograph of Ortigas Center, which is neither representative nor accurately identified as the "Quezon City skyline." Ortigas Center lies on the outskirts of Quezon City at best, and is more frequently identified with other cities such as Pasig City or Mandaluyong. Rmcsamson (talk) 04:00, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Skyline of Quezon CIty?
[edit]The picture, showing Quezon city's supposed "skyline" is not actually Quezon City's. That picture is actually showing Pasig City's part of the Ortigas Center. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.201.192.208 (talk) 13:11, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

== An ostrich grain bowknot bag
==
Resealable plastic bags have been around for decades, and sometimes it seems as if people forgot about them. Black Friday at Banana Republic begins at 6am and continues until 9pm. I silently sucked in my stomach and cursed my shortish hair as a parade of lanky blondes with waist-length, perfectly-dirty hair passed through the park.
Black patent leather handbags are a classic. As an alternative, the designs or the fashion of the decorator bag embodies repeated indeed that the user put up calm enjoy the style at the like time conform to its function. Given the chance, they go out into the forests or fields to collect their snails, mushrooms and berries.
This game-changer must be handled carefully, though. You might have seen maintenance personnel carrying plastic bags while they are doing cleaning. They are also great for keeping products together. You can even have a personalized diaper bag with your babies name or initials embroidered on it.
Buy team logo bags that are appropriate for your team's sport. The cotton bags can hold good quantity of goods and are durable. Because of this fact, there are a lot of retailers offering replicas of the real thing. A Zara Bag really stand out, though, as some of the best designed at a price that can't be beat.
However, if you are intending to wear a suit or simply a business casual outfit, that is completely the look for working. Also take into account the occasion for which you need the bag. Superb quality, revolutionary style and design and practical design invariably make Fendi handbags timeless elegance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.17.97.118 (talk) 14:23, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
"Master Plans"
[edit]The Master Plans section is completely at odds with actual military history. As early as the 1920s, aerial bombardment was widely recognized as a real danger(and in some cases, was treated as an even greater danger than it wound up being in the actual war), and a 15km range on naval artillery was attained in the late 19th century - the Yamato-class battleships Japan was in the middle of building in 1938 had a 42km range. I don't know enough about the history of Quezon to say what actually happened, which is why I'm not editing the main article, but if this was actually the thinking that the folks who planned this city were using in 1938, they were completely incompetent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.63.60.51 (talk) 08:26, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
Suggestion to Split this Article into administrative division
[edit]I think it was 2009 since the last split request was done, I am suggesting to split the quezon city article into either 6 district division or even further to barangay levels. Quezon city is biggest city in metro manila so I think this article is too large. I can do the stub articles and need help from others for this. Any one able to create a district map?
The administrative division would be great in specifying data too which district/barangay the place belongs to. The manila articles can properly divide places well rather than quezon city. http://tools.wmflabs.org/wikidata-todo/tree.html?q=13580&rp=131&method=d3
--natadecoco (talk) 23:16, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- Re Currently, there are 142 barangays in Quezon City so i don't think it's realistic to come up with an article for each one of them. And by districts, are you referring to the legislative districts? Then yes, there have been maps created for those already in that article. And these districts have no names, only numbers and they are subject to regular reapportionment and redrawing of boundaries according to the increase in population so i wouldn't recommend creating articles for them. I think the best we can do is to come up with the biggest barangays at least or those well known sub-districts whose areas are well defined and static, like Novaliches, Diliman, New Manila, Loyola Heights, Cubao, Fairview, San Francisco del Monte, Santa Mesa Heights, Bagumbayan and Balintawak. --RioHondo (talk) 03:57, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- There is not even that much information in this article, and there is even less properly sourced information. Entire sections remain without any sources or citations. RioHondo is right, there are 6 district divisions and 142 barangays in Quezon City alone (forget about the rest of Metro Manila or the Philippines). They do not meet the notability guidelines to merit their own individual articles. Until this article starts overflowing with tons of quality, sourced information, no splitting will be necessary. First movie theater
[edit]Since QC is considered to be the entertainment capital of the country (City of Stars), it may be interesting to some that it is reported that the first movie theater of QC was the Kamuning Theater on Kamuning Street. It opened in December 1952 and closed in 1988, by which time it was known as the Mylene Theater. It is possible that when the UP Diliman campus was a US military installation (1945-48), that there was a movie theater within the post. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.107.55.172 (talk) 07:52, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
Vice Mayor
[edit]Can somebody create an entry for the Vice Mayors of Quezon City. Thanks! Lt Jin Panganiban (talk) 13:39, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think thats necessary, as vice-mayors in general dont really count as notable people. (Unless they have their individual articles). Plus this QC article is already crowded. I suggest creating sub articles on the different topics instead. Particularly those subdistricts that are eating so much space here. --RioHondo (talk) 14:18, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

There are no accents in Quezon
[edit]There are no accents in Quezon in Spanish. Please revert all attempts to add them. Copying what I wrote on Talk:Manuel L. Quezon:
I've removed the accents from Quezon. There is no accent in this name. As proof, you can see in his signature that there is no accent. Also, he and other members of the Quezon family pronounced Quezon on the first syllable (as you can verify in this video), so no accent is necessary. Please revert all instances of edits in which the accent is restored. Thanks. --Chris S. (talk) 00:53, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
- The accent in Quezón is inherited from the Spanish language, as shown in the Spanish Wikipedia for the city and the man. It is a rule that all -on terminations in that language have an accent, which apparently in English has been lost. --Bankster (talk) 00:20, 21 October 2019 (UTC)
