trivia section

[edit]

Can someone maybe add a trivia section to the article? Like what does cinderella's tattoo mean. Or maybe some other tidbits like why the movie was put off for so long and how they decided to release it now? thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.10.121.223 (talk) 07:46, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia isnt allowed, as per wiki rules. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.24.119.11 (talk) 15:20, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Tales (Plot Synopsis)

[edit]

I've been working on this plot section for about 3 weeks now and I originally wrote the longer version currently on the page. What I'm trying to do now is shorten it to better conform with Wiki standards for plots and summaries. I'm having trouble getting it any shorter considering the movie is technically 4 mini-movies in one. Should it be shortened further, or do you think it conforms to standards given the way it was filmed/edited? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deftonesderrick (talkcontribs) 19:50, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is good enough.

Unsigned comments aside, people have tried to delete the entire Tales section (now the Plot section) numerous times without discussing it. Any MAJOR revisions need to be agreed upon in Talk pages first. Per WP:PLOT a plot section can be longer for films that do not follow linear time or have unusual plots (Pulp Fiction, Memento, etc.). Since this movie deals with, essentially, 4 films and time jumping a longer plot section is needed. Deleting the Tales section and only leaving the other plot section (now deleted) doesn't give enough information about a particular subject i.e. the plot, which would need another revision anyway. So, I started to revise the Tales (Plot) section again to get rid of details, I've only done the first and second paragraphs and will do the others later. Feedback is appreciated. Okay, I've edited the summary again to better fit an anthology film such as Four Rooms and others. In total, not including the little intro about Sam, the summary is just over 600 words. I believe this is better than having one that's too detailed and one that is too short. It gives the biggest details while leaving out every little movement and dialogue. Thoughts? Can someone add a part with the girl killed by the vampire at the street party? I would but I got confused about one part and hope someone would do a better job.Diggnity (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:11, 2 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Cyanide doesn’t cause vomiting blood. The candy had razor blades in it that he swallowed. This is proven further when Sam is in Kreeg’s house and pulls a chocolate bar with a razor blade in it out of the stolen candy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.111.219.57 (talk) 00:12, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rules of Halloween

[edit]

Okay, out of curiosity, what are the "rules" presented in each story? I know Mr. Keegs rule is to always hand out candy. Emma's is to never blow out Jack 'o Lanterns until after midnight. Charlie's is always check your candy. What about the kids killed by the bus massacre zombies? And Mr. Wilkins' when he's killed by the werewolves? 24.233.128.66 (talk) 23:04, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merging the Articles

[edit]

I would disagree. I believe that the character of Sam stands out enough to have his own page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.119.222.4 (talk) 17:07, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Directed by Bryan Singer?!

[edit]

There is a director's credit at the bottom of the page that says films directed by Bryan Singer?!--Paleface Jack (talk) 17:37, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The template used to be indiscriminate in identifying everything Bryan Singer was involved in, not just as director. (He was the producer for this film.) I've removed the template since it no longer applies here. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 18:02, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't know that he produced the film?--Paleface Jack (talk) 22:32, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the infobox says his name next to "Produced by". If you Google the film title and his name, you can find sources like this about his involvement. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 13:55, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Plot cleanup

[edit]

Apparently the plot summary was down to c.600 words at the beginning of 2010. It had since grown to over 3000 words, grossly above the 700-word limit in WP:FILMPLOT. (And don't claim it's 4 movies.) Covering the plot in that much detail raises the issue of the article being a derivative work and in violation of copyright laws. I did copy edit and condensed the plot to 900 words (750 if you don't count the intro and conclusion). Some things I removed or shortened:

  • Anything which is not part of the plot, like actor's names (which belong in Cast or Casting sections), or "lessons learned" (which would belong in a Themes section)
  • Anything involving minor characters that does not advance the main plot of a "Tale".
  • Anything specific that can be generalized without affecting the general understanding of the plot.

Please, please, do not add to the plot without understanding this policy, considering whether additions serve the article, and preferably with discussion among other editors. Thank-you. – Reidgreg (talk) 22:47, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Actors' names are irrelevant, and "lessons learned" seem to be original research. However, the plot section is rather lacking in description, and omits information on what is actually depicted. Dimadick (talk) 17:58, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

toon Kreeg watched

[edit]

At the start of the last segment you see Kreeg flipping through channels. One is an old-fashioned film where you see a woman screaming as she gets grabbed. After that is an animated cartoon where you see a female brown-furred werewolf with blonde hair wearing a blue dress. Does anyone recognize what that is from? Savant

@MikeAllen:

Your revert message said: "Removed interpretation. Not directly stated in film."

Considering it is directly stated in the film, I would appreciate you not impinging edits of mine which have a factual basis. Perhaps you were trying to say that the kids are unreliable narrators of her condition (if it exists). Whatever the case, two lines of dialog are devoted to alleged neurodiversity, in a segment about the killing of "different" (atypical) kids. That implies thematic significance to me. Massage it in the summary however you want, but the end result should be a nod towards the above quoted line. Why didn't the kids pick on Chip? Was Rhonda chosen randomly out of the group?

...and they weren't your typical kids.

There were eight of them...

...and they were different.

Troubled.

Disturbed."

No it doesn’t mean that. You are interpreting it as that. You even say it “implies” she is. We do not write what is implied. WP:OR. Mike Allen 05:09, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
