[edit]Hi, thanks for pointing out my mistake. I totally forgot that I have made an article for the same person. There definitely needs to be redirects to one single article. The case is there seems to be different info from different sources. Here and here, she was mentioned as Yvrose Gervil, but here she is mentioned as Yvrase Gerville. Which one do you think are more accurate and correct? MbahGondrong (talk) 10:38, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Fiddle Faddle 16:13, 31 October 2015 (UTC)A barnstar for you!
[edit]The Original Barnstar | |
Looks like this is your first barnstar. Congratulations! And, of course, thank you for your many contributions to Wikipedia. Keep up the good work! — GrammarFascist contribstalk 03:17, 2 November 2015 (UTC) |
And let me suggest, too, that you create a username. In addition to the benefits Human3015 mentioned above, logged-in users get notification anytime another editor links to their user page, like I did when I mentioned Human3015 just now. I could have done that to draw your attention back to Talk:Fingering#Requested move 30 October 2015 where I commented after you did, and I thought your suggestion to add the "stool pigeon" sense of "fingering" to the disambiguation page was a good one. True, if I hadn't come here to follow up on that, I wouldn't have discovered that you deserved a barnstar. But on the whole, if you're going to edit Wikipedia on as regular a basis as you have been doing, I think you would enjoy the extra functionalities that come with a Wikipedia account. You could always give it a try and, if I was wrong, just log out and go back to IP editing. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 03:26, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
- Ya, I have got notification. Creating account is always beneficial. --Human3015TALK 03:54, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the barnstar. Yes, I understand that ping does not work on IP editors. I haven't found that I've needed to have an account on Wikipedia. Most of the time discussing the issue at Village Pump, Wikiproject or AFC will get the matter resolved that an account would work through Boldly. -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 10:16, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

Sam Sailor Talk! 11:37, 11 November 2015 (UTC)Wiitch-water* at RfD
[edit]Hi 70.51,
At RfD, I guess by "Witch-water*", by the asterisk did you mean as used in linguistics to indicate an incorrect form? I am not sure many others would be familiar with that notation. If not, I have no idea what you mean by it :) Si Trew (talk) 05:45, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- No, I meant as similar to that used in regular expressions, meaning and other stuff like this. (ie. if you use the command line in DOS/Windows/Linux/OSX, and use the asterisk) -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 05:46, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
Agluukkaq
[edit]Just letting you know that I deleted Agluukkaq for multiple reasons. First, neither of the women spell their name with two "u"'s. Second, as per Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Disambiguation page or hatnotes? would suggest that with only two options a hat note is better. While I'm nut really sure how the two last names, Aglukkaq and Aglukark, can be confused I went with the hat notes. Cheers CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 08:49, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- It's a surname article though, so a list of people by their common original language surname. It was labelled with {{surname}} The two surnames are spelled the same way in Inuktitut, so the surname page should exist at ᐊᒡᓘᒃᑲᖅ if not "Agluukkaq" -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 08:50, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

SwisterTwister talk 23:24, 8 December 2015 (UTC)Hello, I'm DAJF. I wanted to let you know that one of your recent contributions to Lolita fashion has been undone. You can leave me a message on my talk page. DAJF (talk) 08:18, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
- And what's wrong with it? [1] Why do you want to point to the wrong article? The article's current reference clearly specifies it is the Satomi Ikezawa manga, and not another title. -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 09:24, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- My mistake. But please do try to include an edit summary in future, so that other editors can see why you are making changes. I have reverted my earlier edit, so sorry for the bother. --DAJF (talk) 09:27, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- If it isn't obvious from the diff for this particular edit, saying "It's Satomi Ikezawa" as an edit summary will result in the same action edit warning from you, unless you just revert edits that don't have an edit summary. The only change was adding the specification of "Satomi Ikezawa" which is directly what's in the diff, so a self documenting edit. -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 09:34, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
