- I really appreciate that. I'll make sure to provide a summary for every edit. You know, there's a lot of editing and one forgets such stuff. -AHMED XIV (talk) 24:02, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 3
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of ships of the Egyptian Navy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aster. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Typre 209 Submarine to Egypt
[edit]Check this reference [1] (Upload arms transfer from All to Egypt from 2011-2014) and regretably unless you provide tangible reference for your claim apart from third party statement then this is not a reference, unless the Egyptian Navy spokesman states so in an official statement. User:OrthopraxiaOrthopraxia (talk) 09:18, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, it was stated by Admiral Osama Rabee, Commander in Chief of the Egyptian Navy in an official statement. Reference: [2] He also stated it in an interview with an Egyptian TV channel. By the way, The 1500 version is a special version for the Indian Navy. -AHMED XIV (talk) 15:29, 22 November 2015 (UTC)

If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Move-warring
[edit]Per Wikipedia:Requested moves#Requesting controversial and potentially controversial moves: if there has been any past debate about the best title for an article, any move of the article should be treated as controversial and not performed until consensus to move is demonstrated. DrKay (talk) 18:05, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
FYI
[edit]I don't really care anymore if the ship says ENS or not. However, there is absolutely no need for the hull number to be in the article title. It is a disambiguator and per Wikipedia policy on article titles, if there is no need to disambiguate, (no other ships with that name) don't have a disambiguator. Llammakey (talk) 18:11, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
I will open the issue in the talk page in a few minutes. AHMED XIV (talk) 18:15, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Are you hate Algeria Or What, is there something bothering you man. I have to revent back.60.50.52.67 (talk) 22:24, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- Unless you provide a reliable source for the content you add, it will be removed. The sources provided are misleading and have no relation to the content. I've warned you more than once, any further disruptive editing will be faced by administrator action and you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - AHMED XIV (talk) 00:08, 15 November 2016 (UTC)
- Ahmad, Don't Erase first. Read frist that Algerian S-300 And S-400.60.50.52.67 (talk) 02:23, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
- I have read the sources you provided and they have no relation to the content added, not a single reliable source actually claims that Algeria operates either the S-300VM or the S-400. Only the S-300PMU2 is known to operate in Algeria. When you find a reliable source you can add it in the talk page and it will be discussed there, so please don't discuss it here on my talk page. Also, it would be better if you read this page about reliable sources because it seems you have no idea about it. - AHMED XIV (talk) 13:56, 17 November 2016 (UTC)

Z class destroyer withdrawal
[edit]The source for this this edit is unclear. Would you kindly provide a source showing the withdrawal of the El Fatah? IISS still lists it. Buckshot06 (talk) 23:49, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
Buckshot06, the recently commissioned Egyptian Gowind-2500 corvette has been given the same name "El Fateh" meaning "The conqueror" in English. The name was transferred from the 62 year old Z-class destroyer to the new corvette. This was done to commemorate the historic destroyer that played an important role during the October War, 1973. Source in Arabic.[3] - AHMED XIV (talk) 02:29, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- That's just fine. The name has been transferred to a new ship. But both IISS and our article on HMS Zenith (R95) list Zenith/El Fatah as extent - active, though as a training vessel. You need to provide a source about Zenith/El Fatah *retiring*/being scrapped. Otherwise she needs to be readded. Buckshot06 (talk) 03:48, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, I will make sure to add the reference on HMS Zenith (R95), Thanks. - AHMED XIV (talk) 16:20, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- I'm sorry mate, you do not appear to understand what I mean. Look up HMS Zealandia - a ship which changed its name (from New Zealand) for exactly this purpose, to clear its name for a new vessel. It remained in service under a new name. Your reference talks about the *name*, not the *ship*. ex-El Fateh has *not* been reported as being decommissioned or scrapped. All we have is that the name has been transferred. I'll amend the Egyptian Navy ship list so that you see what I mean. Buckshot06 (talk) 19:12, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- OK, The article in fact mentions that there were attempts to resell it. Also, the report describes it as something historical that is being honored by the Navy. But I guess it is better to wait and see. AHMED XIV (talk) 21:21, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 10
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mikoyan MiG-35, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page MAKS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Egyptian Air Force
[edit]Please don’t add or change content without verifying it by citing a reliable source, as you have done on the Egyptian Air Force article. The sources you entered makes no reference to the UAV acquisition or K-8 Egyptian production- Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources –Thank you FOX 52 (talk) 02:19, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- No Sir, I know the guidelines, it is you who are constantly and unreasonably changing sourced content without thoroughly reading its sources nor referring to its original pages. You are also deliberately removing cited references and come to claim otherwise. Please review the cited Arabic sources, and feel free to ask about any content that may seem doubtful. AHMED XIV (talk) 21:50, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- Sounds like the discussion is on the way, but may I ask a quick question? Is it OK for editors to remove sourced content such as in this case here? It makes me feel uneasy to report him without confirmed violation.--Biografer (talk) 21:40, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- I have reviewed both edits and it seems there is no violation by FOX 52. Indeed, a reliable source is provided. The article, however, is talking about things that may happen in the coming decade. Such expected future events should be included only if the event is notable and almost certain to take place, per WP:FUTURE. I think it is best not to put a rush on it and wait until official contracts are announced. AHMED XIV (talk) 02:06, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
