User talk:Alifbaa
Hi and welcome to Wikipedia! A small point about adding photographs. We are absolutely paranoid here about copyright here, and we tag all photographs with a licence. (if you don't tag it it might get deleted) Now since you are the creator of the work you can add any acceptable licence you like but we recommend
| This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 License. This template should only be used on image pages. |
.
If you want to add this licence to photographs that you have already uploaded then copy and paste {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to the description pages of the photos in question. For future photos you can just select the "attribution share alike" licence on the image upload page.
Hopefully you wont find these instructions too confusing. Let me know if I can be of any help. Theresa Knott | Taste the Korn 21:48, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Chaouenmountains.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Chaouenmountains.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:06, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Morocco Wikiproject
[edit]Hi Alifbaa. Thanks for joining Morocco wikiproject. Please check a list of articles needing expansion at the project page. -- Szvest 19:29, 7 July 2006 (UTC) Wiki me up™
Hi. I wonder if you wouldn't mind taking a look at the article above, and expanding it further, or adding any sources appropriate for our English Wikipedia. I've already built it from a one-sentence stub using the sum total of my knowledge on the subject. Specifically, someone raised questions about the etymology of Semitic definite articles that I just couldn't answer. So I'm trying to recruit other Wikipedians with Arabic/linguistic expertise, such as yourself. Thanks very much! -Fsotrain09 02:53, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

The article Blogoma has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:NEO. Wikipedia is not a place to promote neologisms that have no reliable source coverage to establish notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 22:08, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Blogoma is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Blogoma until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 02:50, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Downtown meknes.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Downtown meknes.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:26, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

2019 US Banknote Contest
[edit]US Banknote Contest | ||
---|---|---|
November-December 2019 | ||
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here |
