Invitation to participate in a research
[edit]Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,
BGerdemann (WMF) (talk) 19:22, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
The article Centre for European Policy Studies has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Wholly unsourced other than the organization's own website.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. UtherSRG (talk) 00:04, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
Possible vandalism by user 130.126.255.243
[edit]Hello, I would like to contact you regarding a unregistered user that has vandalized articles related to the 2024 US Presidential Election, and also other political articles, as can be seen on their contributions page.
The user in question has been asked to stop, as is apparent on their talk page.
I just wanted to alert you of this.
Have a nice day!

- I don't have time to look into this right now. If you need action to be taken by an administrator, please report it at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Cordless Larry (talk) 07:45, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- Okay!
- Thanks for the heads-up! JonteP1 (talk) 13:02, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
This seems a bit out of place under the International Churches of Christ#Beliefs and practices of the ICOC section. Would it be better incorporated into the International Churches of Christ#University campuses section? TarnishedPathtalk 13:21, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- Potentially, yes, although I'm not sure the practice is exclusive to their recruitment on campuses. Cordless Larry (talk) 13:23, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- I agree that it's not exclusive to their recruitment on campuses. That's why I thought I'd discuss it rather than just moving it. It just struck me that some of the sourcing was in regards to campus activity and so there's a bit of clash there if you know what I mean. TarnishedPathtalk 13:27, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- I've changed the heading level to make this a sub-section of "practices", though I'm open to it going elsewhere. Cordless Larry (talk) 13:38, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- I was thinking that was one way to go with it. TarnishedPathtalk 13:41, 1 November 2024 (UTC)

Note
[edit]@Cordless Larry, you have blocked indefenitely a new user, Saarabout,please see WP:PDNBTNC UnsungHistory (talk) 20:56, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Someone being new doesn't give them a free pass. However, on this occasion, having reviewed the evidence and discussed the issue with another editor who initially declined an unblock request, I've unblocked (prior to you posting here). Cordless Larry (talk) 21:04, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
