Notice Coming here to ask why I deleted your article? Read this page first...

If that doesn't help, read these FAQs.

1. Why did you delete my page when I hadn't finished writing it?

Answer: Don't create new articles unless you are sure they meet wikipedia's criteria, particularly notability and verifiability. If you want to practice, there is the sandbox facility and Wikipedia:Articles for creation where you can get a second opinion from a more experienced contributor. And if you really can't help yourself, use {{underconstruction}} so other people will know you are still working on it.

2. Why did you delete my page for advertising? I wasn't trying to advertise!

Answer: Read Wikipedia:NPOV for guidance on how to word an article so that it doesn't sound like an advertisement.

3. Why did you delete my page for advertising? It was about a non-profit organisation!

Answer: Non-profit organisations advertise all the time - it's still promotion and the rule applies to them just as it does to commercial bodies. See no 2 above.

4. Why did you delete my article without warning?

Answer: Because you are not entitled to a warning if you don't follow the guidelines. See no 1 above.

5. Why didn't you do a google search and find references for my article and put them in for me instead of just deleting it?

Answer: Because I don't have time to do the boring bits for you. I have enough boring bits of my own to work on, thank you.

And please SIGN YOUR POSTS, otherwise I don't know who is asking me the question!

RE: Deletion of Obsidian Key Page

[edit]

Hello Deb, on my profile talk I provided a list of resources about O.Key the page (as you requested), I can provide more, also please note that on the official website there are plenty of reviews all provided by external sources like soundout.com, soon there will be extra reviews (just waiting for their publication on the internet), so please let me know if you need more ref/resources etc... thanks. Deletion of "Rollglider" Page

[edit]

Hello, Rollglider is an amusement attraction as are many others in Wikipedia. A brief search led me to Swing boat. Ali Baba (ride) and Roll-O-Plane which give pretty much the same information but are available and not deleted. The information I've given is about the product - its way of construction etc. and is in no way bias. I may used 1 or 2 adjectives, but is that ground for instant delete? Pkalotov (talk)

Hello again, Deb, Thanks for sharing the Other things exist page, as it may be visible, I am pretty new to Wikipedia and am not familiar with all the rules of the community. To be constructive I would like to ask what would you advice me to do so I can upload the page. I've read the verifiability page and as far as I understand it - you expect me to find media coverage of the ride so it can stay as an article, is that so? Or if no - please, tell me what should I do to keep it. Thanks in advance.Pkalotov (talk)

Deletion of "C.Start" Page

C.Start is a university incubator, and we just tried to create a page for it. Incubators are institutions which help startups to grow. How is this advertising? Prakhar Bindal — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thebetaguy (talkcontribs) 09:34, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Moving of "Sweet Freedom album" to "Sweet Freedon (Michael McDonald album)"

[edit]

Was this really neccessary as the original title was unique and you lost the link from Michael McDonald discography page by not leaving a redirect. Delangle9

Yes, it was really necessary as there is already an article about another album called this.Deb (talk) 15:30, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why didn't I get a disambiguity then? (although I am a relative newcomer to Wiki) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Delangle9 (talkcontribs) 15:37, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is confusing as I've had exactly the opposit happen before. A long title I put in like yours was shortened to a title like my original by another "watcher".

I start by writing a page in Word then creating a link from the artist's discography page to get a new empty Wiki page, copy/paste from Word then check everything is OK with Wiki. Usually if the title I give it in the link already exists then I don't get an empty page so I go back the the link and expand the title as you did to get an empty page. The latter didn't happen in this case so I assumed the title was unique. I haven't yet tried using the sandbox, but will get round to it sometime.

I'm Ok with this album taking second place as it is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Delangle9 (talkcontribs) 16:13, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Cracker Loc

[edit]

The article was deleted for being too short. but does the article itself need to be long when all the info on the person (which included their works) was provided via links within the article?

Deletion of ACEMD

[edit]

Dear Deb, I would ask you to reconsider your swift deletion of my page. It wasn't any more of an 'advert' than any of the other pages in the Category:Molecular_dynamics_software, many of which, incidentally, are also on the topic of commercial software. Indeed, I was careful to maintain a neutral perspective and list only facts. The article I wrote was referenced and meaningful for a reader interested in the wider subject. Yes, it was short (many others in the category are similarly so), but it's hardly encouraging me to expound upon the topic if my work gets deleted in the time it takes me to go and make a cup of tea. talk

Deletion of Aljadidah

[edit]

Aljadidah is a arabic news platform with a notable number of users and the first arabic news portal focusing on women rights in Austria. The extension of the article with info and refs was in progress while the article was deleted by you. Is it possible to reactivate or at least to move into my sandbox for further enhancements? David.trattnig (talk) 13:10, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You've stated no legitimate reasoning in deleting the page especially since it is under construction and needs a lot of work to be done to it till it is completed. The page was legitimate and or it was stated previously that more information would be depicted as it was compiled and written about him. Please refrain from issuing a deletion of the page until it is fully constructed or at least constructed to a somewhat better level of structure, if after it is fully constructed and does not have meaning behind the page you are free to delete it. Commodore4eva (talk) 19:29, 11 November 2013 (UTC) commodore4eva[reply]

You deleted Nanda Mallawaarachchi with a log reason of "G2: Test page)". The creator has inquired about this at the Help desk. The page does not look like a test page to me. It looks like an WP:AFC draft created in the wrong namespace. I am asking you to please undelete it and move it to the proper position, or indicate your reasons for not doing so. DES (talk) 01:44, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Frank louis allen

[edit]

You deleted Frank louis allen with a logged reason of A7. The article included the text "Despite this he is a successful artist who has had work published and displayed in Hollywood Gallery's, as well as various Exhibitions around California." While clearly not enough to survive an AfD, I think this does constitute a 'claim of significance' sufficient to avoid an A7 Speedy. The article is somewhat promotional, and may well be an autobiography, but those issues can be dealt with through editing. Would you consider undeleting this? DES (talk) 02:07, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It is a claim, but not a plausible one. I'd say that the fact he's had work displayed in a gallery in Hollywood is not an indication of success - for all we know, his work may be on display in the toilets, or it may be some very minor gallery. However, I can move it to his user page, which may be what he really intended.Deb (talk) 11:08, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I agree this is far from proof of notability. It could indicate someone of no significant accomplishment or someone about whom a very good article could be written. By my standards that is enough to decline an A7, although not enough to survive an AfD without improvement, nor enough to pass a review at AfC. DES (talk) 12:20, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The more I look at it, the more I feel it doesn't even qualify as a claim of notability. It doesn't seem to me to meet the criteria in WP:ARTIST. However, I did google on the gentleman before I deleted it and couldn't find any indication of notability there either. Deb (talk) 13:44, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It is my position that a claim under A7 need not and often will not meet any of the specialized notability guidelines, nor the GNG. Any allegedly factual statement that is not preposterous, and that might indicate that if research were done notability might plausibly appear is sufficient. While I can't say there is a clear consensus for that standard, there is a clear consensus that a claim that passes A7 is a "much lower bar" than establishing true notability, and that a claim need not be referenced at all. I had a good deal to do with the debates that created A7 and then expanded it to other kinds of subjects, and I think the "lower bar" concept was widely accepted from the first, and essential to A7 being adopted as a CSD. Note that the CSD wording is not "claim of notability" but "claim of significance". I would also say, if you have to Google to be sure, it isn't an A7, it is a PROD (although i am glad you did check) DES (talk) 15:43, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No, sorry, I don't agree. For me, having had paintings displayed in "Hollywood galleries" would never be a claim of significance for an artist, nor would having had "exhibitions in California", nor indeed would being "successful". However, had I found some evidence of notability in a google search, I might have cut him a bit of slack. Deb (talk) 16:47, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You deleted Ashwini Kumar Chopra under A7. The deleted text includes "senior journalist, Resident Editor, Punjab Kesari" and "Ashwini is well known for his daily page one, Special Editorial with bold and popular wording." I think that, taken together, these form a "plausible claim of significance". Obviously the article needed significant work, but i don't think an A7 speedy delete appropriate. DES (talk) 02:53, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think there is a case for restoring it, so I've done that. I hope someone will work on it to bring it up to standard. Having said that, the wording you quote is at best subjective. My initial googling came up with very little, but a search on the name of the paper helped me find some evidence of notability. Deb (talk) 11:17, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What is with this unilateral deletion without getting consensus? PWCT or Programming Without Coding Technology or etc..

[edit]

Hi Deb,

I must admit I am rather confused about this 'new' page which you deleted back In October. [2].

It seems to have been re-created, as PWCT (software) then cut and pasted to PWCT (programming language) by Mahmoud Fayed (talk · contribs), then cut-and pasted again to PWCT by another editor Msfclipper (talk · contribs). And 212.57.215.5 (talk · contribs) also gets involved adding and removing spurious AfDs, while IIRC still editing the original page that had not been redirected.

Hi Deb. Many thanks for your notification and review of the Academy of Financial Trading page. I have to say, I am however a little confused regarding the decision to list the page as an advertorial. Having read through the terms on conditions of wikipedia on many occasions, I'm struggling to see the connection when comparing this page to others of a similar nature. From my personal perspective, this particular page contains an almost identical information flow and similar method of citations as the page which it was initially based on; *REDACTED*. That being said, the particular proofing of the information provided on the page has been removed of any flamboyant terms and language that users may consider to be advertorial, following a similar template of that used by other companies in the Online Education field.

I would truly relish the opportunity if you could provide me some further insight into how you believe this page could be improved upon, as with the ever growing presence of Online education firms, I know many agree that documentation of these providers is becoming essential!

Deletion of Authority Brand

[edit]

Hey Deb, first of all thanks for your time for checking out the new articles i've posted. The one you deleted was one of a "system" of definition for brands present in a book i've recently read. In some ways you are right about the book cited as reference being the only one presenting this kind of definition (as far as i know). This was not intended to be an advertising for the book, but to complete the categorization of brands present in the book. If instead of deletion you would like some refinements about the article i will be glad to do it. Since i am also pretty new in the wiki scene, i'd like to know how to put the article back online (if you agree).

[edit]

The original creator of the "VIlla Maria" page, who had originally made the official connection to this Serbo-Croatian link, has also inquired about this at the Help desk. The page does not look like a test page, or any such anonymous self-promotional attempt. This page has been created couple of years ago, and since then has been added, cleaned up, and corrected by multiple people. I am asking you to please not touch this official Serbo-Croatian Wikipedia page, and remove your unnecessary comments, as this has also been brought up to at the Help Page, as deliberate attempts of deletion of anything connected to my name Pavletic, due to this username Pavletic111, or any personal un-objective reasons of any personal nature. Therefore please refrain from further attempts of deletion of such or any older Serbo-Croatian sites, as such attempts will be brought up further to the Help Desk. As well as deletion of the official movie 476 A.D. Chapter One: The Last Light of Aries. At the same time, I'm asking you now to please also undelete the pages for the official film 476 A.D. Chapter One: The Last Light of Aries, which has all the necessary links to it, and move it to the proper position, or indicate your reasons for not doing so. However, please refrain from further attemts to desrupt any older Serbo-Croatian pages. deletion articles Marina Oceania

[edit]

Hi Deb

I am writing to you about deletion articles '''Marina Oceania''' in Cambodia. I want to explain my motives of writing this article. This is the first professional marina in the country's history. And the opening of the marina is really significant. Construction of the marina agreed and supported by the Government of Cambodia. Local and foreign media wrote about the marina. I want to rewrite the article again in an abridged version. Please do not judge strictly, and I hope for your understanding. If you give me some advice on how to write an article about this event, I will be very grateful to you.

My regards, amantula (talk) 20:56, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deb

Thank you for your help. With regard to the marina in Cambodia, I tried to play by the rules and watched Wikipedia page about marinas - a list of marinas. I looked for other information marinas and wrote an article on the model .. Hundreds of marines in this list and each of them can produce notes. But how else to do?

And more. Information about this marina in Wikipedia is not advertising, because there are not the target audience and is not a place for customers. Information is available only in addition the general list of marinas.

I would love to discuss this issue and would take advice, but do not know where in there is a discussion and who else to talk about? Give me a simple way to debate, please. With all due respect, amantula (talk) 10:46, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is now in line with the G11 requirements (An article about a company or a product which describes its subject from a neutral point of view does not qualify for deletion criterion) Note that it's important to differentiate between the "holding" and the "supermarkets", which was the prime reason for creating the article. A similar differentation has also been made on the Dutch sections and is already been accepted there for 3 years and subject to review by multiple authors.

The content of this page is written like an article and seems to be highly promotional in tone. If I hadn't seen that you had moved it to the user page, I would have speedied it on sight as a spam user page. I'm not prepared to override a GF edit by another admin, but I wonder if you should either reconsider keeping the text, or editing out all the promotional stuff (most of it). What do you think? Deleted Article BODYARMOR SuperDrink

[edit]

Hi Deb, you recently deleted an article I wrote on BODYARMOR SuperDrink citing it as Unambiguous Advertising. I have since read the Wikipedia: NPOV on your talk page and have rewritten the article in an attempt to make the article objective and neutral. It is currently on my sandbox, my username is ianvor. I would like to get your input as to whether it is ready to publish. Should I just republish the article and see if it receives any admin feedback? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ianvor (talkcontribs) 18:02, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the timely response to my question. I have read the NPOV Tutorial that you suggested and updated the article on my sandbox to incorporate your comments. I wish to inform you that I have no personal interest in the Lizzy Sports Complex article I only thought it would be of interest to other people as I noticed there were no article to that respect on Wikipedia. Deletion for : No explanation of significance (real person/animal/organization/web content/organized event

[edit]

You deleted my page citing the reason "No explanation of significance (real person/animal/organization/web content/organized event" when the page I was creating was for one of the biggest heat source manufacturers in the UK and Ireland which is searched for thousands of times per month. I don't agree with you that this should have been deleted as it deserves a reference in Wikipedia for the people that are trying to find out more about the company. More content would have been added as I have requested the people who are involved with the company add their parts - I just laid the foundation. Please reconsider. FAQ on deletion

[edit]

Hi! Have you considered adding standard PR-ish "polite" language to the deletion FAQ to make things sound softer?

For instance No. 5. could be phrased like "I wish I could help you but unfortunately I do not have time to do your research for you. Please ask another editor for help with research. Learning research skills is an invaluable skill in your Wikipedia career."

I understand that there has been issues with user retention on the English Wikipedia and non-editors have a perception of administrators being arrogant or unhelpful. It might help to read this Reddit thread's comments http://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/1p4eft/the_decline_of_wikipedia_wikipedias_community_has/

Also using italics still emphasizes the point but doesn't look as "loud" as bold all-caps. "Please sign your posts."

Thanks, WhisperToMe (talk) 18:24, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but this isn't something new. At one point I stopped doing deletions altogether because I was getting so much hate mail on my talk page and even on other websites that I didn't know existed! I'm talking six or seven years ago. Then I felt I wasn't pulling my weight so I started spending more time on administrator tasks again. You only have to look at this page to understand how sick I am of hearing the same moans over and over again from people who don't read the guidelines before they start and then blame me because they've done it wrong. Most of my activities (certainly over 50%) are directed at deterring spammers, and I really don't much care if I offend them. So, whilst I can see your point, I don't see any need to change the wording. If people want to come to this page to grumble, that's fine, but I really want to be a contributor rather than a policewoman. Deb (talk) 18:30, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am not actively involved in administration matters and I imagine that I too would be grumbled and fed up if I did this day after day. I do think that in terms of good faith contributors it may be helpful to understand their POV as they may be intimidated by the mass bureaucracy and experience of other editors.
I simply hope that there will be good editors to replace me and hope they aren't deterred from contributing. I've been contributing heavily for 10 years, and I know it won't be forever. Someday I'll have to stop mass editing due to work, or I may die suddenly. Either way for me it will end. I don't want human knowledge not covered because there was nobody to replace me. Sorry if it sounded alarmist but that's how I feel.
WhisperToMe (talk) 18:36, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome :) I have heard that some experts on topics had gotten upset about uninformed and plain old vandalism, and I can see where they are coming from too. I do think that a sense of firmness can go well along with politeness so there is a sense of authority as well as a sense of openness. Something like "Please refrain from XXXX, I understand that YYY, but ZZZ." or "Kindly stop doing XXX. If this is not corrected, YYY will have to happen, because of ZZZZZ." Maybe there are some children even amongst admins, but as for legal aspects, child is anyone under the age of 18, and I think detailed personal information (including date of birth and place of residency) should be deleted, so Wikipedia could not be legally liable, and possible incidents would be prevented. Alex discussion 17:49, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you think the information should be suppressed, email WP:OVERSIGHT about it. Given the age of the person concerned, and the relatively small amount of information involved, they may not agree with you. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 18:23, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Then show me a policy which says that using CV's aren't O.K.! Plus, why are you so sure that he wrote the CV?--Mishae (talk) 23:26, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you have been a good faith editor you would have put it on AfD, rather then deleting it. I would advise you to restore it and move to AfD or to my subpage, since according to me and user @Randykitty: he is notable. Upon failing to do so, I will need to take other measures.--Mishae (talk) 21:49, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, as Mishae says, I think this person is notable. Not being an admin, I cannot see what was wrong with the article, but I'm sure that I can help Mishae to make a neutral stub out of it. I gave Mishae some advice on my talk page on what CVs can be used for and what not. Anyway, given that this academic is from Egypt, sources may be sparse, but then perhaps not, as someone of his stature might generate some coverage in his homeland. Could you perhaps userfy the article to either Mishae's or my userspace? We'll work on it and when done I'll tell you so you can have a look before we move it back into main space. Hi, Mogism, and thanks Deb for removing that tag! In the current situation I don't know what happened. On one hand the article need to contain a list of people and places at which he worked. On the other hand then it will be copyvio, how do I write an article which will be factual without it being copyvio?--Mishae (talk) 21:42, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It would be impossible to create an article about a conductor without mentioning those theatres and productions by their correct titles, and therefore, from what the Duplicate Detector Report showed me, there was no copyvio, so I believe the bot was misleading in this case. Hi. You deleted the page that I created earlier today, CinemaSins, with the rationale that it is not notable. I wasn't given the chance to contest this speedy deletion. Deletion of Aimery Caron

[edit]

You may not think Aimery Caron is interesting, Deb, but many other people ARE interested in the history of the African American people. Especially non-racists, and especially now that films such as 12 Years a Slave, The Butler, Django Unchained and The Help are drawing large audiences and inspiring them in the subject. Dr Aimery Caron, professor Emeritus (chemistry) at the University of the Virgin Islands, has done important research work in this field and his monographs are of interest to many students in African American and Caribbean studies. I HAVE NOT invented any of the references, and I will continue to rewrite the Wiki article on him, every day if need be, until you allow his page to stand. Yet another example of how not to get your way. Deb (talk) 21:44, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deb, I guess you see Wikipedia as a means for people to either get, or not get, their own way. It was supposed to be something so much more than that. Something genuinely of use to mankind. Shame on you. I'm cancelling my funding contributions and writing to Jimmy Wales about you. N.B. Have you ever considered getting some therapy, or perhaps trying some herbal preparations for hormone balancing? -:) ~~

Oh, so you're not dedicated enough to take the trouble to find the references you need to demonstrate the subject's notability? I guess it's not that important to you then. Deb (talk) 17:56, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I edited the article on the Centre for Economic Performance that you deleted previously. Let me know if it is now acceptable. Regards MP 11:52, 11 January 2014 (UTC) Mondpanther(talk)

Thanks for the edit. Maurice I think has a category on Wikimedia Commons but I'm not sure how to link the article to it. Can you assist?

Gina Gers(h)on

[edit]

Hi. Not that I much mind, but a sanity check, please. Did I get something wrong in what I wrote here? -- Hoary (talk) 12:12, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I did take the trouble to create the (non-) article as a redirect to Gina Gershon. (Again, I'd never even heard of this Gina Gerson till a few hours ago.) Nobody objected to that redirect, and in the deleted talk page I suggested that reversion to this state would be better than deletion. May I restore the very first edit, thereby regenerating the redirect? -- Hoary (talk) 13:21, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What is the source of this? In particular, the part about Kalininskaya Oblast is very dubious and contradicts sources known to me. - Altenmann >t 03:59, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Internet Must Go

[edit]

Hi Deb, I've created the wikipage "The Internet Must Go" which is an independent docufiction film.

I've tried my best to include all the sources and to indicate that it needs more independent sources.

You speedy-deleted the page with the reason of being promotional.

My intention with writing the page was to make it clear it is a docufiction, as it is not very straightforward due to the nature of docufiction. I added some facts about the movie I found meanwhile like casts, etc.

Could you pin-point me which part did you found promotional? To answer sections in Wikipedia:NPOV#Achieving_neutrality:

  • naming: I intentionally included the word "docufiction" in the page title ("The Internet Must Go (docufiction)") to make it clear that it is a film that mixes documentary and fiction for narratic effect. This is the main intention that I've created the page.
  • Wikipedia:NPOV#Point_of_view_forks I did not do POV forks
  • Wikipedia:NPOV#Due_and_undue_weight I included information on creators as in the Template:Infobox_film, I grouped and removed many of them to keep the list clean, citing the rest of them with reference.
  • Balancing aspects The movie is about a topic. I didn't want to include aspects except "aftermath" which includes events that are directly related to the topic of the movie. I cited the sources that made the events known to me and I noted via Template:Third-party-inline that the section needs more third-party sources.

In the first section, I did include a link on net-neutrality that may have seemed biased that I've since removed. If that was the reason for your deletion please note that to me.

The sources I cited tended towards pro-net neutrality. However the most of the sources was dealing with the information about the movie. The most detailed information is on the primary source which is the movie's website, which is of course biased towards its own standpoint. However I've also cited other sources like independent articles from Wired and Digital Trends.

I've also included in the references the corresponding pages on Youtube or Facebook. The latter may have seemed promotional but I included them solely to make the claims of the achieved number of viewers and followers verifiable. If this was the reason for your deletion please tell so and since these are the primary sources for this information please help me how should I word it. Most articles I've checked about internet phoenema link the same way about page views in order to inform the reader about these numbers, like The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?).

I've spent many hours making this article. I am not in any way affiliated with its creators (by the way, unlike them and like you, I live in Europe, too).

I hope the reasons of the deletion can be cleared up and looking forward for your cooperation in restoring an acceptable version of the page.

Thanks, -- User:Naxa

Thanks for your insight, I've tried to add reliable sources from Huffington Post, The Washington Post, Network World and several other sources. I will attempt to re-create the page hoping your supervision. Naxa (talk)

Hello, you deleted my entry for Teletrade on Jan. 7. I need to know how I can successfully post this article, I was not trying to be promotional, just informative. Can you please direct me to instructions for how to edit the article so I can try again? Is there any way I can know which parts you thought were promotional so I can change them?

thank you

Recent Page Deletion

[edit]

Greetings,
Recently you deleted the Wikipedia page for the applications and games company, Twyvel Apps, stating that there is no explanation of significance (real person/animal/organization/web content/organized event)). The page was in no way advertising the company, it in no way gave links to purchase the products - it was a fully functional, information fuelled article on a mid-lane iOS gaming platform company that attracts tens of thousands of users world-wide on it's applications. Wikipedia even states that it "has grown rapidly into one of the largest reference websites". An article referencing a large iOS based company (with the required referencing added) seems to fit this description and policy quite nicely, which for the record, Twyvel Apps's Wikipedia page was constructed alongside this iOS/Game development company's article (Backflip Studios) so the page was well in it's rights to be created, live and active.

Furthermore, Wikipedia is known for providing background information on companies and persons who form/run these companies, however having no research page available ceasing interested users/other companies from researching the Twyvel Apps company - which is what Wikipedia is all about - researching information on just about anything.

I ask that you please Rollback the deletion of the article.

Thank you so much in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xsile (talkcontribs) 12:53, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How do you get rid of this?

[edit]

User:Ericl/Jeanne Hulit It's now stuck to my page and I can't get it off!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEK!Ericl (talk) 18:43, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Professor Greg Whyte, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Safiel (talk) 17:21, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cross Rhythms versus Cross Rhythms

[edit]

Well, I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to correct this on the article that I created. I just wanted to inform you that before August 2005 it goes to Cross Rhythms the magazine, and it should be in italics like you did. However, the reviews done September 2005 onwards should go to the website Cross Rhythms, and should not be in italics. I know it is rather confusing and all!HotHat (talk) 01:33, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, you can tell by going to the review and seeing if it was printed in the magazine because it will be listed up on the date row.HotHat (talk) 01:35, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please Archive

[edit]

Hello! I just wanted to request that you archive your user talk page. While it may not be bothersome to you, many editors have slow connections, and having a very large talk page can hamper communication. If you need help, just check out the guide over at Help:Archiving a talk page. Thanks! Ankit Maity «T § C»«Review Me» 12:10, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's not that large, honestly. I archive quite regularly. Deb (talk) 12:11, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
