Revised Article
[edit]Hi Esanchez7587,
After reading through the guidelines, I believe my page was deleted because we did not have any citations or sources that backed up the article. That being my understanding, I have added multiple links to the sources used to support this webpage. I definitely believe in being able to support your position and I hope that after you review my sources, you will be sufficiently convinced that this page is legit.
Thank you in advance for your work at Wikipedia.

[edit]Dear sir I am writing to you with aims of informing you that I reversed your edit which erased my contribution. Additionally I want to ask you the reasons why you decided to erase my contribution and didn't even mentioned me the reasons or addressed me on the matter. Only 2 conclusion can be drawed from this attitude: firstly that you did not wish to discuss with me as you consider of no value my point of view and secondly that it is a common behaviour on your part to go around destroying other people's contribution without considering their efforts and without explaining the motives. - I am sorry to say that your sources are not considered as reliable. The reason why is because a main website cannot stand on its own because it needs notability to be established by outside sources such as magazines, news sources, and reliable media. A Facebook page is not reliable either, since anyone can make one up and we want the notability of the page to be established first. Lastly, the eBay store will make it seem as spam in an article, since it will seem you are promoting the website through a Wikipedia page. Wikipedia does not endorse advertisement through the article pages. The sources you provided so far are not reliable enough to maintain the article. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 20:28, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

Tricia Dingle page
[edit]Why did you delete the page of Emmerdale's Tricia Dingle? I was just looking it up for some information and I see it has gone. She was a popular character from a popular UK serial drama, and had a very memorable exit. People often look up these sort of things, it is not as if she has no links to the show - her husband and grandfather are still in the show and her mother was a big character too. I don't see why this page does not exist when pages of characters of less importance remain. You are essentially deleting information about the history of the show. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DesertHotIceCold (talk • contribs) 19:37, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
THIS WAS WRONG WHAT YOU DID
[edit]you destroyed my site. This was not a joke site. Mismism is a new religion(I should know. I was one of the people who greated it). By destroying this is like if you would burn the Bible. I was trying to let people know of this religon. Because it is a good one. It's not about hate against other religion like most others. You know I have the right to tell people about a religion. People have the right to know of other religion but there own. I want that side back. Other wise i could call this a crime against belives. I thought Wikipedia was all about diversity.Because of what you did this religon may not come to be and you will have killed it.
Well maybe you thought this was a joke and then it is OK that you erased this site.
But now when you know it is not you should but it back up if you can.
Well maybe you destroyed it because I had no links. But that was there aren't any.
Please but it up again. Ore you will be knowned as the DESTROYER in our religion.

MSU Interview
[edit]Dear Esanchez7587,
My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the community HERE, were it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
So a few things about the interviews:
- Interviews will last between 15 and 30 minutes.
- Interviews can be conducted over skype (preferred), IRC or email. (You choose the form of communication based upon your comfort level, time, etc.)
- All interviews will be completely anonymous, meaning that you (real name and/or pseudonym) will never be identified in any of our materials, unless you give the interviewer permission to do so.
- All interviews will be completely voluntary. You are under no obligation to say yes to an interview, and can say no and stop or leave the interview at any time.
- The entire interview process is being overseen by MSU's institutional review board (ethics review). This means that all questions have been approved by the university and all students have been trained how to conduct interviews ethically and properly.
Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your name HERE instead.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.
Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Obar --Jaobar (talk) 18:23, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

You Deleted My Page, Why?
[edit]Why did you delete my page on a real topic? — Preceding unsigned comment added by BananasAndCo (talk • contribs) 21:48, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
- Because you do not prove the article to be a "real" topic. Your article must have reliable sources in order to identify how notable your topic is about. If you are able to provide such information, the article is more likely to stand on its own without any contest. However, if it is a word you just happen to make up, then I suggest to keep that away from Wikipedia. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 21:52, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Well why does it have to be removed shortly. It is a real page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BananasAndCo (talk • contribs) 21:53, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
- Because a lot of people are making bullshit articles into the websites. Some use them to spam/promote their own material using Wikipedia and others for vandalism. From the information you initially provided, it is assumed to be vandalism, so I immediately removed it. If it is an actual term that you can provide reliable sources about the term, feel free to put them. However, if you simply create an article with text and nothing else, I will assume you are just making something up and simply want attention for it. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 21:56, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Can you please explain why you removed my entire section titled Frat Rap? thanks, DaMang111 (talk) 14:06, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- Because you do not present any information about "frat rap", since you only presented your own personal research on what is considered to be "frat rap". Without any support on what is this genre, then your information cannot be up on the article. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here)
Incorrect grammar from a 'high ranking' user.
[edit]After noticing incorrect grammar from your message, I decided YOU'RE* not worth my time & delete pages too easily. Also with my band page, I had multiple, multiple links & sources ranging from ReverbNation to Sputnikmusic reviews, Official website (real domain). SEVERAL review links of our albums, etc. If all of these 'musicians' like Lil Scrappy can get pages, why can't my former band? Wikipedia is full of people like you who are MoralFags.
- So, I was looking back in your article, since I imagined that maybe I did judge your writing too soon. However, a closer look at your claims, I see nothing notable from the band. One, your "band" is not signed to any major labels, nor does it follow none of the criteria for notable bands; two, having a page in "Reverb Nation" does not make it notable or any page from Facebook or YouTube; you need notability from reliable news sources such as music reviews from notable magazines or websites; third, you are using your user page incorrectly for purposes outside of its main use, for it is suppose to be used to record your Wikipedia activities, not using it as a website for your own purposes. If you do have information, as so you claim, I suggest doing that in another separate article but not on your userpage. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. No need to get butthurt about it. Thank you. PS: I apologize for my misspelling. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 16:24, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

K.I.D.S.
[edit]Dude I really don't think you listen to rap music if you don't think K.I.D.S. is a "notably established" album. Sure it is a mixtape, but it is his best work so far, and it is what got him to be so well known. You can't just go deleting pages before people can edit them enough to show their meaning like you do, you have got to chill out. I personally think you need to let the page be edited for a little bit before you go and delete the page while saying "you have to prove its notability," but in doing that you take the page offline so no one can prove it since the page isn't up. If you don't see the notability in this mixtape I can't see how you're a rap fan at all. I'm going to prove that this is a notable mixtape on the page so just wait and do not delete the page saying that it isn't notable when everyone else in the world that listens to rap knows it is regardless of whether they like it or not. - Hi. I'm an editor of Life Is Good (Nas album), and I noticed that both IP editors, 63.118.144.100 and 108.46.5.2 that keep disrupting that article with their addition of XXL's review score and removal of content, have addressed you. Does that constitute vandalism like sockpuppetry? Dan56 (talk) 18:19, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
- That is very odd, but no IP's can't be sockpuppets like that. ObtundTalk 20:09, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I have recently received a message concerning nonconstructive edits made from my IP address. However, I have never edited anything on Wikipedia. [edit]i will continue editing the review section of life is good.i added the xxl review rating when it came out and it was deleted somehow.somehow the editor on that page chooses to leave the negative ratings on that album instead of being neutral.until my XXL rating which i added earlier when there were less than 10revs is left alone i will stop tampering with that page. thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.2.60.77 (talk) 00:10, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hi. Life Is Good (nas album) is getting bombarded by the Nas fan club: different IPs keep showin up and removing the same content and adding multiple XXL revscores. One even accused me of bias at the article's talk page. My request at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection doesnt seem like it'll go through, so what would you recommend as the best course of action? Dan56 (talk) 01:35, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
I disagree that the content constantly being added to the article is by the same person/people, I'd say its really because editors feel that it is relevant and important to the page. Perhaps you should have a look Esanchez7587, and make a recommendation. Thanks Green-Halcyon (formerly Aunty-S) (talk) 20:02, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hello!
Hope you're having a good day.
I am a singer-songwriter. I just composed and submitted an article with my early life, musical career, discography and links in order to provide a cohesive source of information in a reputable place for my fans and followers to learn about me, my history of work and information about upcoming projects. I received a message saying that my article was almost instantaneously deleted.
I would like very much to have my singer-songwriter page on Wikipedia, please. Will you kindly tell me what steps I need to follow in order for my article to be accepted and allowed online at Wikipedia?
Thank you very much in advance for your time. I am quite legit and will be further adding to my page in the future, so I'd like to get this taken care of, please.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon, and thanks again.. ~ Jamie Chura

User_talk:Hansky
[edit]I see from the deletion log that you deleted this user talk page.
I don't believe that it should have been deleted as the copyright violation wasn't added by user Hansky but by another editor Krause Gallery and it was added to a page that already had history.
Krause Gallery's changed replaced the entire earlier content of the page.
I pressed the dispute this deletion button and suggested that rather than delete the page it should be wound back to before the page content was replaced. I also explained this on the talk page of user eeekster who proposed the deletion.
Even though this is a trivial talk page of a user who is probably long inactive (as you can see from the page log my involvement with the page was leaving a warning about a change the user made that I had reverted) I feel that this creates a very bad precedent as editors wishing to hide past bad behaviour could use one sock puppet to replace the content with a copyright violation and then a second sock puppet to request the page is deleted.
Could you please undelete the page and wind it back to before Krause Gallery's edit.
Thanks

Extended confirmed protection
[edit]Hello, Esanchez7587. This message is intended to notify administrators of important changes to the protection policy.
Extended confirmed protection (also known as "30/500 protection") is a new level of page protection that only allows edits from accounts at least 30 days old and with 500 edits. The automatically assigned "extended confirmed" user right was created for this purpose. The protection level was created following this community discussion with the primary intention of enforcing various arbitration remedies that prohibited editors under the "30 days/500 edits" threshold to edit certain topic areas.
In July and August 2016, a request for comment established consensus for community use of the new protection level. Administrators are authorized to apply extended confirmed protection to combat any form of disruption (e.g. vandalism, sock puppetry, edit warring, etc.) on any topic, subject to the following conditions:
- Extended confirmed protection may only be used in cases where semi-protection has proven ineffective. It should not be used as a first resort.
- A bot will post a notification at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard of each use. MusikBot currently does this by updating a report, which is transcluded onto the noticeboard.
Please review the protection policy carefully before using this new level of protection on pages. Thank you.
This message was sent to the administrators' mass message list. To opt-out of future messages, please remove yourself from the list. 17:47, 23 September 2016 (UTC)
Two-Factor Authentication now available for admins
[edit]Hello,
Please note that TOTP based two-factor authentication is now available for all administrators. In light of the recent compromised accounts, you are encouraged to add this additional layer of security to your account. It may be enabled on your preferences page in the "User profile" tab under the "Basic information" section. For basic instructions on how to enable two-factor authentication, please see the developing help page for additional information. Important: Be sure to record the two-factor authentication key and the single use keys. If you lose your two factor authentication and do not have the keys, it's possible that your account will not be recoverable. Furthermore, you are encouraged to utilize a unique password and two-factor authentication for the email account associated with your Wikimedia account. This measure will assist in safeguarding your account from malicious password resets. Comments, questions, and concerns may be directed to the thread on the administrators' noticeboard. A new user right for New Page Patrollers
[edit]Hi Esanchez7587.
A new user group, New Page Reviewer, has been created in a move to greatly improve the standard of new page patrolling. The user right can be granted by any admin at PERM. It is highly recommended that admins look beyond the simple numerical threshold and satisfy themselves that the candidates have the required skills of communication and an advanced knowledge of notability and deletion. Admins are automatically included in this user right.
It is anticipated that this user right will significantly reduce the work load of admins who patrol the performance of the patrollers. However, due to the complexity of the rollout, some rights may have been accorded that may later need to be withdrawn, so some help will still be needed to some extent when discovering wrongly applied deletion tags or inappropriate pages that escape the attention of less experienced reviewers, and above all, hasty and bitey tagging for maintenance. User warnings are available here but very often a friendly custom message works best.
If you have any questions about this user right, don't hesitate to join us at WT:NPR. (Sent to all admins).MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:47, 15 November 2016 (UTC)

- Wikipedia:Pending changes/Request for Comment 2016 closed with no consensus for implementing Pending changes level 2 with new criteria for use.
- Following an RfC, an activity requirement is now in place for bots and bot operators.

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
