Rejecting AfC drafts

[edit]

Please try to be a bit more careful when reviewing drafts. Draft:Javari Thomas should not have been declined, not rejected, in its current state and it's not a WP:G11. I realize people make mistakes sometimes but I wanted to give you this feedback so you know for the future. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 00:23, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Clovermoss
Alright, thank you. I'll definitely be more careful with rejections in the future. My apologies for any issues this caused! Sincerely, Guessitsavis (she/they) (Talk) 00:28, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just glad you're willing to listen to feedback. No one's perfect but it is a good idea to not bite the newbies if we can help it. Take this as a learning experience and keep moving forward. :) Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 00:57, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page watcher) It's always hard, especially when a draft is long, yet has only received a single prior review, or none at all. Simply continue to review, learning as you go. If you ever feel you have made a mess the best idea is to revert the mess and apologise. I am not saying that you have made a mess. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 12:46, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your kind words! They are really appreciated, especially due to recent events. I'll definitely keep them in mind during my contributions. Sincerely, Guessitsavis (she/they) (Talk) 12:49, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Improper revert

[edit]

Your revert here seems improper. Please explain. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mazan_rapes&diff=prev&oldid=1246204832 2603:7000:2101:AA00:51DF:B834:1672:242A (talk) 20:33, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@2603:7000:2101:AA00:51DF:B834:1672:242A
Unfortunately, I have not been able to see a source that explicitly says that Dominique confessed to such. He has made other confessions but none of them explicitly say "he admits he drugged his wife", or "he admits he raped her while she was unconscious." Until such time, or until/unless found guilty, we can not say that he definitely did such. Sincerely, Guessitsavis (she/they) (Talk) 00:03, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Maya Hahn

[edit]

Maya Hahn's father is mentioned. Why would you unmention her mother? My source for the original change was Maya's mother! Smvdwal (talk) 11:15, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Smvdwal
You did not supply said source. See WP:BLP. Sincerely, Guessitsavis (she/they) (Talk) 11:32, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New page reviewer granted

[edit]

Hi Guessitsavis, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.

This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:

You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! Hey man im josh (talk) 12:12, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome, thank you! Sincerely, Guessitsavis (she/they) (Talk) 12:24, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Coinrule review

[edit]

Hi Guessitsavis. I was looking at the Coinrule article just now when I noticed you marked it as reviewed a few hours ago without further tagging. It did not seem like it met the standard for organisations and companies to me, and I was planning to either draftify or nominate it for deletion after I've had time for a proper BEFORE (depending on the results), but as you have reviewed it I wanted to get your opinion before proceeding, and confirm whether you've found some suitable references. Alpha3031 (tc) 04:16, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Alpha3031
Hey there. On my initial once over I thought I saw sufficient independent sources to suggest notability, but after I gave it a good review, I agree with you. Once of the main sources was user-sourced (Forbes), which I didn't notice when I saw it. Thanks for catching that! Sincerely, Guessitsavis (she/they) (Talk) 11:33, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice!

[edit]

I had to notice that on this page, Draft:Resuvonia, You have declined the article. I did NOT make this page, but when I was editing this page, you declined the article. I am not saying that this article is worthy, but I am just informing that I added a reference and added maintenance tags. Cooldudeseven7 (Discuss over a cup of tea?) 11:52, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but the references still do not support the notability of the subject, hence it was declined. Sincerely, Guessitsavis (she/they) (Talk) 11:57, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. Thank you! Cooldudeseven7 (Discuss over a cup of tea?) 11:59, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Responding to edit requests

[edit]

Hi! Thank you for your efforts in reducing the backlog of requested edits. Remember to change ans=no to ans=yes in the template code, so requests that are answered or pending user input won't fill up the backlog. User scripts like User:Jackmcbarn/editProtectedHelper and User:Terasail/Edit Request Tool can help you do so automatically. Best, NotAGenious (talk) 11:05, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Helpful advice

[edit]

Thank you for the advice on my new page on Draft:Portrait of George Griffin Stonestreet. I was foolishly trying to help a non-Wikipedian friend and took his basic text and formatted it. I will try to clean it up in in a non-plagiaristic way. StewE17 (talk) 14:08, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, sounds good! Sincerely, Guessitsavis (she/they) Talk 17:39, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
