USA war crimes

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article USA war crimes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Binksternet (talk) 17:42, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of USA war crimes

I have nominated USA war crimes, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/USA war crimes. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Moscow Victory Parade of 1945, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Moscow Victory Parade of 1945 has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Moscow Victory Parade of 1945, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. It's not Mylène Farmer on the photo you insert. It's a spitting image of the singer. Moreover, Mylène Farmer never sang in a little theater, and she wore this dress only in Stadiums.

Moving drafts

[edit]

I've run across several drafts created by brand new users that you've moved to mainspace, despite them not being ready. Would you please consider tagging them with {{subst:submit}} instead so that they can be reviewed through the WP:AFC process? Bradv 20:41, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am an administrator in Russian Wikipedia. These articles are created within the framework of my edithoton. I am sure of the sources and significance of the topic. JukoFF (talk) 20:44, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I know that different languages have different standards for inclusion, so you may not be familiar with the English Wikipedia's policies. Articles like this simply do not meet our criteria for inclusion without a lot more references. Please reconsider. Bradv 20:48, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
As a rule, I add at least three references to the source in each article I finalized. However, with a distinguished article, you are right. I will supplement it with sources. Thank you for mentioning. JukoFF (talk) 20:52, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I appreciate the work you are doing in improving some of these rough drafts. I patrol both drafts and new pages, so I see most of them either way. But there is a whole team of people at WP:AFC who are happy to help too. Bradv 20:55, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Most visited Art Museums

[edit]

You asked about the source of the list of most visited art museums. I used the print edition of the April 2020 issue of the Art Newspaper, which I bought in a bookstore. I believe the full list is also available on-line with a subscription to the Art Newspaper Digital version. Good idea to do a Russian version, though I'm afraid all museum lists will be very sad this year, thanks to the virus. Cordially SiefkinDR (talk) 15:46, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Forgot to answer your other question. The list has seventy-seven museums because it listed only those with over a million visitors. SiefkinDR (talk) 15:49, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • SiefkinDR Thank you very much for your answer. 77 museums is also a good number) And here about attendance you're right, museums are not the best of times :((

When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Hello! Some questions about Cossack cuisine

[edit]

Hi, JukoFF! I recently stumbled upon Cossack cuisine and wanted to do a bit of cleanup and clarifying there. I did have a few questions about certain parts of your translation since I'm unable to read the sources. I figured I'd leave you a message here to see if you're still around. If you are, please let me know! Thank you for translating. All the best, Jellyfish (mobile) (talk) 22:26, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Can you tell me why you decided that what is written in the article is a translation? JukoFF (talk) 22:52, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
At Talk:Cossack cuisine, there's the "article translated from ..." box (not sure of the template name). My apologies if I've misunderstood that box or if it was added in by another editor, I was in a bit of a rush earlier on my phone! Jellyfish (mobile) (talk) 15:38, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delay, work has been crazy!
As far as this goes:
"A traditional Cossack dessert is nardek - watermelon honey."
Is nardek a honey flavored with watermelon, or like a honey-like liquid somehow made of watermelon? Or is it a honey made from the pollen of watermelon plants?
I think that's my only major question that confused me a bit while reading it. I'll have to try and find some more English language sources to expand the article - even just reading this article piqued my curiosity. Unfortunately most of what's shown up in my searches has just been recipe sites, which I don't think are the most reliable. Thank you so much! jellyfish  17:33, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
