Point one: You should move the above text to the actual page. Point two: I know people born in Slovakia having Czech names, but HER name was Sklenáriková, simply because that name is used too frequently for a non-existing name (see also google - a SME article etc.). Since nobody translates Czech names into Slovak names, this implies that this is her correct name (otherwise it would not exist). So, unless you have a source saying that she was born with a Czech name and the Slovak name is someone's invention, or that she changes her name, I will revert your change. I am not interesting so much about modeling (and Adriana is not my dream girl), but I heard her name many times in Slovak media and watched her presented in Slovak MISS competition as head of jury, always with "czech" version of her name, so I am sure about that.

You can believe me, I am slovak patriot and have no ambitions to "bohemize" Slovak famous people :) She is not "less Slovak" because her name - same as Pálffy or Hochschorner brothers :) We (Slovak nation) can be really proud for her :) And anyway - in "foreign" world countries just few people know special different between Czech and Slovak pronunciation of Small Glass Maker :)

We can wrangle about her name to one day, when will come the French (or Polynesian) person and will change her name finally to Karembeu :))

This has nothing to do with national pride or sympathy for her. I, on the other hand, remember her being called Sklenáriková (look at the SME article of 1998, for example), although I must admit that I watch Slovak TV rarely, especially not this kind of broadcasts. Father of Adriana is Czech, mother is Slovak, they met, when both studied in Prague. Name "Sklenaříková" she had from her birth.

Just one suggestion: According to the current conventions[1], we use a comma, not parentheses to disambiguate between two places with the same name. Hi. I have recently developed the slovakian villages so the articles shoud now look like Nováčany. As you go through adding hungarian links (very helpful) please can you remove the category Villages and municipalities in the Kosice region in each article and just keep the district category. E.g Villages and municipalities in Gelnica District. Hi. My name is Eysteinn and I come from Iceland. I am a big fan of the movie Hostel, and i`m trying to build a quote page on wikiquote on all the different languages used in that movie. Hi, yes, most of text was spoken in Czech language. Some of them contain strong vulgarisms and I am not able to translate that :) "Mafia driving" and "Problem" was spoken in Russian. "More bubble gum" was in Slovak and it means: "Do You have some chewing gums" ? "Relax bro" was also in Slovak (however with strong Czech accent - it can be considered also as Moravian dialect of Czech language). --kelovy 17:24, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

hm, my source is little bit out of date (because that I didnt use their national team stats of Igor) and looks unofficial, but I believe them. These matches are just from regular league. Ban

Hi! As you might have already noticed, I was banned from the Slovak Wikipedia first for 2 hours (by Bronto for threatening) and then for 6 months (by Bubamara for threatening+ill mouth). Hi... You are not right. Bronto never blocked You. 2 hours You got by Aton X for sentence which I understood as threat too ("or You want me to find admins and bother them other way ?"). Your next step - brutal profanity in Aton discussion page was not caused by anger or insulted soul, it was systematic attempt to be blocked for long time as part of Your plan to become martyr of Slovak nationalists. I am not great fan of Bubamara (we want to kick each other from admin chair:), but she has nothing with nationalism and is not interested about Your ethnic descent. I am really sorry, but You just got what You wanted. Such words we will never tolerate in Slovak wikipedia. If I saw this terrible contribution first, You would get ban from me (however probably not for 6 months). And You cant consider couple "no chat" templates as sign of hostility against You - by the way, You wasnt primary target, because I was that man :) If You would have one nice day serious interest to participate in our wiki, You will for sure welcome. Fine. I know that it really wasn't nice of me to call the admins names. But at first I didn't wanted to insult anybody on Slovak Wikipedia. I was only tring to discuss with MarkBA his attitude towards Hungarians and articles related to Hungarians and Slovaks as well. Nothing else. Then Bubamara came and wrote to my talkpage detailing why is it a sin to use MarkBA's talkpage for discussion with MarkBA. And only after they've told me that discussion is not welcome on the Slovak Wikipedia and talking about some "mortal sins" I've committed there have I asked them whether it's better if I'd use some proxy servers to poke them around or bother them in person (although I'd never do anything like that). After that I've said that discussion is still a better idea. And then AtonX has blocked me for 2 hours. Reason: threatening. Around that time I've asked at Bronto's talkpage that what's the problem with me. Bubamara has answered that it's the fact that I talk too much about things I'm not supposed to (WTF?!). And that I'm OTing ever since I came to the Slovak Wikipedia. And yeah, after that I've told her that she's stupid, arrogant and ignorant. But that was after the fact that she's proved to be very hostile to me ever since the beginning.

One more thing: after the 2 hour block I've edited the article on the Slovak Wikipedia about John Hunyadi. Actually I've renamed the article from "Ján Huňady" to "Ján Hunyadi" because the name Hunyadi is officially accepted. Then what happened? The site has been permanently protected because of "vandalism". Many others would've FOADed Bronto for this move and a brutal flamewar would've been started (until the admin would've blocked all the users for good or for 6 months etc.).

One more thing is the Slovak article about Lajos Batthyány which they've spelled like "Ľudivít Baťán". The problem with that is that it's spelled like that for a reason. The reason is that it's a nobleman's name and they've always had some "special" spelling, since correctly it would be spelled Battyányi in Hungarian. Unfortunately the Slovak spelling used on Wikipedia doesn't reflect efen the pronunciation (which should be Baťťáni). I've complained about this on Bubamara's talkpage without any result.

Because of the two things above (the Hunyadi and Batthyány thing) it's very unlikely that I'll return to the Slovak Wikipedia (even after 18. november). I think that it would end in a permban or a ban for another 6 months for (repeated) vandalism given the fact that the correct Hungarian spelling has been completely eradicated from the whole encyclopedia and they would probably "reward" me with another bans for trying to correct those "mistakes". I greatly appreciate that now it is only in abbrevation form and You didnt attack me... but is there some chance to reduce that in the future ? What is worse, You like to "play with true", I read You recent post in Elonka discussion... Now it is obvious, Your ban in sk wiki was sophistically prepared by Yourself.

You know that I liked to read Your communication with Mark and strongly opossed stop chat templates. But Your last contribution in that discussion was simply inadequate, You received right short ban from Aton. What You did after two hours I dont have to mention again...

About Huňady and Baťán - every language has its own names for historical personalities (including Hungarian), our are regulated by Slovak Language Institute. Yes, it is possible that sometimes the name was made by less accurate way, but (American) Indians also never lived in India.

If You will change dark sides of Your behaviour, I have no problem to unblock You, there is no doubt about Your intelligency and knowledge. Hello, Kelovy. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
