Speedy deletion nomination of User:VSS Monitoring, Inc
[edit]Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as User:VSS Monitoring, Inc, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}

Perhaps you should take a break from editing Wikipedia until you can assure the community you will be a constructive contributor. Tiptoety already recognized a random edit you cannot account for, so perhaps you should change your password too. ZsinjTalk 02:21, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

I had a break from editing Wikipedia. Is that good? And I will not do it again.
Decline reason:
This request for unblocking has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:
- Familiarizing yourself with our basic rules.
- Read our guide to improving articles
- Pick any pre-existing article you wish to improve.
- If you have trouble choosing an article to improve, see this index of articles needing improvement for ideas.
- Click edit this page on that article and scroll down past the message informing you of your block.
- Copy the source of that article and paste it to the bottom of your talk page under a new top-level heading (like this:
= [[Article title]] =
) and save the page before you improve it. - Propose some significant and well researched improvements to your article by editing your personal copy of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
- When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
- If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.
If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "{{helpme|your question here}}" to your talk page. Thank you. NW (Talk) 20:17, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Unblocking this user

Request reason:
I would like to be unblocked on Wikipedia again. It has been 5+ years since I last edited on the wiki. I believe what happened 5 years ago does not apply now, I should be able to edit pages now.
Decline reason:
The user, NW, extended what we call a "2nd chance", above. This is the unblock decline that includes, "To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia." If you'd like to be unblocked, you'll have to follow that procedure. Yamla (talk) 11:49, 29 March 2018 (UTC)

Your best option is to edit an existing article. The goal is to see you are able to make well-researched, substantial improvements. However, you are free to attempt this with a new article. Note that you'll want to familiarise yourself with WP:NOTE, WP:COPYVIO and WP:COI before doing so. I'd hate for you to do this work, only for an admin to say you haven't demonstrated sufficient notability, or you've copied content from another source, or some such. --Yamla (talk) 18:25, 29 March 2018 (UTC)

You don't seem to have followed the instructions, which means it's really hard to review your additions (and also, means you committed a copyright violation). That aside, it appears your addition to the article is the entirely uncited Gameplay section, along with a cited addition about the 2013 award. On the other hand, this does clearly demonstrate your general good-faith and honestly, is one of the better 2nd-chances I've reviewed. Find me a couple of citations that show your gameplay description is generally accurate and I'd be inclined to lift the block. I suggest one showing that the Fog of War is a new feature, and one that generally mentions some of the other elements of the game. It's reasonable to use a single citation, so long as that's not to the publisher's website. Note that I'm signing off soon, so someone else may review your unblock request. To them, I say that I believe this user has adhered to the spirit of the 2nd-chance, and you should look upon their request favourably if they do the one extra task I've set. --Yamla (talk) 21:22, 29 March 2018 (UTC)

I'm sufficiently convinced. I have lifted your block. Thank you for your patience and your work during this unblock process. Welcome back. Please consider contributing your changes back to the article itself! Yamla (talk) 12:13, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
Welcome back
[edit]As I said in the unblock request, welcome back! You are welcome to remove any or all content, including the warnings, from this page if you wish. Neopets: Codestone Quest moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Neopets: Codestone Quest, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~~Cheers~~Mgbo120 18:27, 18 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Portal:Skunks, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Portal:Skunks and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Portal:Skunks during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Disambiguation link notification for June 7
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Game Boy Color, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cannon Fodder (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:10, 7 June 2019 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Neopets: Codestone Quest
[edit]Hello, MatthewCenance. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Neopets: Codestone Quest".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! CptViraj (📧) 17:17, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have no plans as of yet to try revising the draft so I can get a page created on the wiki. Matthew Cenance (talk) 19:43, 9 October 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Image tagging for File:DualSense for Wikipedia.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:DualSense for Wikipedia.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Replaceable fair use File:DualSense for Wikipedia.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:DualSense for Wikipedia.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Masem (t) 20:28, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:DualSense for Wikipedia.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:DualSense for Wikipedia.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:38, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
