Signing Talk Pages

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! -- pb30<c.t> 00:18, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Understood. Sometimes I forget.

Re: Yishun Town Secondary School

Good evening,

As an ex-student of Yishun Town, I've already lost touch with some of the latest news of the school. It's only quite a while from The Straits Times that I realised that one of the YTSS's classrooms had been flooded and the electricity on the entire 4th floor was cut off.

I would like to see users like you to help me continue to improve this article further, and to remove any outdated information. Photo-wise, you may wish to re-take and change them. I'm sorry, but I don't have much YTSS-related photos in the past, you may ask the Photographic Club for assistance in that matter.

Teacher-wise, unless if you write any information that should be confined within the school compounds, I don't think any teacher would be against this article being one of the featured articles in Wikipedia =). Try and find some of your friends to help you make this article even more worthy! The Toad 14:30, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

I think I know who you are, but for privacy sake and for personal reasons I will not reveal my true identity. A huge clue is this ... your CCA is quite closely related to mine. The Toad 14:44, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Okay, never mind. Erm.... I'm CWY... Guess this initial is quite hard to decipher, but you'll know its me... Optakeover 14:46, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Yeah I know, Mr Ong right? By the way, why you got censured by Ikan Bilis? The Toad 11:18, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Re: Bhunter1313's rant

In regards to his inane and childish rant, I was not thinking about using it as evidence, I must admit. I was just thinking of getting rid of it, because it disgusts me. But, the sooner he, and his underlying IP, are blocked, the happier I will be. Thanks. ---Charles 05:02, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Anyway, he got indef. blocked. Thanks anyway. Either way, it was a vandalism-only account. Optakeover 05:04, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, and he has vowed to return and continue his errant ways. I guess we will cross that bridge when we come to it. ---Charles 05:15, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
How did you know? Optakeover 05:16, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Pardon? How did I know what? ---Charles 14:32, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Quote: 'Yes, and he has vowed to return and continue his errant ways.' How did you know this? Optakeover 14:33, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
He said so in that childish and nonsensical rant on his userpage. He said he would create new accounts and keep coming back, and that there was nothing we could do about it. Go look at the history and read it yourself. Believe me, I would not make up something like that... ---Charles 17:03, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Don't worry, I believe you. I was just suprised as I didn't notice initially. Optakeover 03:58, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
I didn't mean to get defensive. At the same time that I was having this exchange with you, I was dealing with a couple situations in which I was being accused of "bias," so I was prickly. If Bhunter1313 has returned, he has not made his presence known in any obvious way. At the same time, I haven't any reason to doubt his juvenile threat. And, on and on it goes, this thing of ours... No rest for the wicked. Cheers! ---Cathal 16:26, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Filler School.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Filler School Blocks.JPG. This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. Please fix my page

Well... I have no particular them in mind... I just want this userpage to be designed properly, as I'm really bad at it and I don't know how to improve it further myself. Thanks. Optakeover 13:39, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Just as a suggestion, go to userpages you like and hit Edit, and look at the "source code" to see how it was constructed, and then put things in that you like. That's in general an easy way to learn HTML webpage design as well. 199.125.109.59 22:23, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Anti-vandalism work

Hi there, I just saw you revert some vandalism to the Dacrydium cupressinum page within moments of it happening (the page is on my watch list)- thats some good work; the quicker this crap is removed the more it discourages people from vandalising wikipedia again. Cheers, Kotare 09:25, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome. Thanks for the compliment. Optakeover 11:03, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure that quickly removing it does much in the way of discouraging it, I saw one vandal revert their own vandalism, finally changing the article from "a spanish" to "spanish". What reverting it quickly certainly does, however is improve the quality and reliability of the enclopedia. 199.125.109.59 22:39, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Worry not! :)

I will take care of your request, dear Optakeover, but I only beg you to give me some time. Maybe a week or so, is that ok with you? love, Phaedriel - 08:53, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

John Frusciante- Going Inside EP edit

I changed the track listing to the correct track listing. This can be verified on: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Going-Inside-Ep-John-Frusciante/dp/B000059QYM . I have changed it back to the correct track listing again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.30.46.212 (talkcontribs)

Hey I saw that you undid the deletion I made. The reason for this deletion was that I (User:Diabound) and User:Diabound00 are one and the same person. But since I can't log in anymore and there is no possibility to get my old account back I was forced to create a new one. Thus I copied the text from my old account to the new one and planned to write a message at my old account's pages to inform all people about this. However you can help me if you know how to delete my old account. Diabound 08:51, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Just Want To make Sure

Hey - I got the new message thing and noticed that there was a warning for me editing an article - but then later when I went back to it to see what it was - the warning was gone. I checked in the history and saw it was about a gang edit - and I just want to make sure there's nothing wrong with an edit I've done.--danielfolsom 03:27, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, you did not vandalise anything. Somehow, something went wrong with VandalProof. It reverted the edit made by the anon. user, but when the warning was given, it was given to you instead. Please ignore it. Sorry, and thanks for your concern. Optakeover 03:38, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
