wikibreak
[edit]Pdfpdf is on an extended wikibreak, and could probably be considered to be "semi retired".
However, he will be notified via email of any edits you make to this page, and will eventually respond to them (if a response is necessary).
He retired from full-time work in 2018, and after a concerted 6 month spurt of feverish activity on Wikipedia, decided to get a life.
(Don't you love it when people talk about themselves in the third person? Not?)
He fondly remembers his (surprisingly) many wiki-friends, and thanks them for their support!
Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 13:47, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
Always precious
[edit]Ten years ago, you were found precious. That's what you are, always. Enjoy your break! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:47, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you my dear.

Image source problem with File:TDUblonde1.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:TDUblonde1.jpg.
- - I uploaded it 14.5 years ago!
This image is a derivative work, ... While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, ... so the overall copyright status is unclear.
Thank you. Minorax(talk) 12:59, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- Errr. It does state who. (Please get your facts straight before you start throwing stones.) Errr. No it isn't unclear. Pdfpdf (talk) 13:42, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
BTW: It hasn't been a problem for 14.5 years. Why is is suddenly an URGENT problem now? Pdfpdf (talk) 13:26, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

== Speedy deletion nomination of Deadlink ==
Hello, Pdfpdf
Welcome to Wikipedia!
I wanted to let you know that I have tagged an article that you started, Deadlink, for deletion because it seems to be incoherent gibberish. If you want to practice editing-skills, please use the sandbox.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with
{{Re|Significa liberdade}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Significa liberdade (talk) 20:18, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Significa liberdade:, the edit in question was the creation of a redirect on 26 August 2009, which was valid at the time, with the target page itself subsequently being redirected. I take it that this inappropriate notice was apparently autogenerated by the Page Curation tool which was triggered by your use of the "speedy deletion-nonsense" criterion, rather than by you placing it here. I note that your nomination for deletion of the redirect was later reverted, as discussed on your talk page, but without any deletion of the message on this very experienced editor's talk page. This makes it a bit difficult for uninvolved editors to follow what has gone on, so I've struck it out. Bahudhara (talk) 05:11, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks mate! :) Pdfpdf (talk) 13:29, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
It's been a long time
[edit]Hi Pdfpdf, it's been nearly four years since the last Adelaide meetup! Would you be interested in taking part, if one is organised some time in the New Year? Cheers, Bahudhara (talk) 05:20, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
Invitation to join the Fifteen Year Society
[edit]Dear Pdfpdf,
I'd like to extend a cordial invitation to you to join the Fifteen Year Society, an informal group for editors who've been participating in the Wikipedia project for fifteen years or more.
Best regards, Nford24 (PE121 Personnel Request Form) 21:52, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks mate. I don't think I qualify as a "participating editor" these days :).
- P.S. Congratulations on the FRSA!! Pdfpdf (talk) 13:50, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
"Definition of Done" listed at Redirects for discussion
[edit]The redirect Definition of Done has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines. Anyone, including you, is welcome to comment on this redirect at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2024 February 13 § Definition of Done until a consensus is reached. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Thitu Reefs
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Thitu Reefs indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 03:36, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Royal Geographical Society of South Australia
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Royal Geographical Society of South Australia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 01:18, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
The article China Media Group (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Disambiguation page not required (WP:ONEOTHER). Primary topic article has a hatnote to the only other use.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:05, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Ordem do Infante D. Henrique.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Ordem do Infante D. Henrique.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:46, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
