Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gonzalo Curiel (composer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Arturo Rodríguez. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, RandomEditorAAA,

I wanted to leave you a note about this article you PROD'd (it has since been de-PROD'd but that's not the issue). It's important, when you tag an article with a PROD, to mention this in an edit summary. Edit summaries are always a good idea but it's especially important with proposed deletion because in instances like this, when an article has been de-PROD'd, if another editor considers PRODding it in the future, they need to see that it has been PROD'd before. This is seen by looking at the edit summaries in the page history. If you use Twinkle, it should leave an appropriate edit summary. I did see that you posted a notification on the page creator's page which is just great, thanks for doing that.

I hope you are having a good holiday season! Liz Read! Talk! 02:40, 27 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is a bad habit of mine to mark every edit as "minor" and leave without an edit summary, even when the edit isn't minor and an edit summary is needed like in this case. I made the same mistake when I PROD'd another article, however I edited the article again and mentioned it in that edit summary. Thank you for reminding me Liz, hopefully I will remember for future cases like this. Thanks, and Happy Holidays - RandomEditorAAA (talk) 03:15, 27 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Careful!

[edit]

Hello! With this edit, I saw where you added a < to fix a ref, but you also removed a pair of braces near the beginning of the article and created a wreck, with a large chunk of the article's content becoming tangled in a {{refn}} note at the bottom of the article. I've put the braces back. I don't know whether that leaves in place another problem that you were trying to solve, but I'm letting you know in case there was one and you still want to try to solve it. But removing those braces won't be the solution! Largoplazo (talk) 13:07, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am deeply sorry for my mistake here, I was probably tired that day and somehow didn't notice when previewing (looking back it was obvious I have done something wrong so I don't know why I missed it back then), I probably thought that those 2 brackets were unneccersary as I probably thought it was supposed to be the closing brackets of the citation template that someone miswrote there. Thank you for fixing the issue and letting me know, I again apologize for my mistake. Thank you - RandomEditorAAA (talk) 21:51, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Countering vandalism

[edit]

Thank you for your help in countering vandalism on Wikipedia. I see from a recent edit summary that you might like some guidance. For simple vandalism, we usually issue escalating warnings. For example, I've tagged one IP you reverted with {{uw-disruptive2}}. If they persist after a level four warning, please report them to AIV, where an admin will consider blocking them. How to respond to vandalism has more advice, and the Counter-Vandalism Unit will also be happy to help. Thanks again, Certes (talk) 11:43, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Certes:, thank you for the assistance and guidance on how to counter vandalism, I very much appreciate it! The user seems to be already on Stage 3 warning, when I have the time, I will continue watching the user and give a final and 4th warning if proved neccesary. Thank you once again, have a good day! - RandomEditorAAA (talk) 03:35, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Eugene Pabst

[edit]

Hello RandomEditorAAA,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Eugene Pabst for deletion, because it's a redirect that seems implausible or is an unlikely search term.

If you don't want Eugene Pabst to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Dab page talk pages

[edit]

Hallo, Please don't create disambiguation page talk pages like Talk:Milk bread where there is no "talk" content. The disambiguation WikiProject knows about all disambiguation pages and doesn't need the banner to alert them, and creating the page just means that someone working on the dab page sees that there is a dab page and might feel they need to check it in case the discussion there is relevant to what they're doing, so creating the talk page is not only unnecessary but actually unhelpful.

See the template documentation at {{WikiProject Disambiguation}}, which explicitly says Please do not use this template solely to create talk pages that otherwise have no content. Thanks. PamD 19:31, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ah sorry, my bad, I will keep track of that, thank you - RandomEditorAAA (talk) 01:29, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
