The Number of the Beast

[edit]

You placed the template {{underconstruction}} on The Number of the Beast (album), but I can't find an edit summary where you mention the template. How long has it been there? --Crackthewhip775 (talk) 02:18, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alrighty, then. --Crackthewhip775 (talk) 23:17, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You may not have noticed, but the edits you made to this article on 28th January have introduced some invalid references - you've reused sources, but there's no indication of what the references actually are - specifically, the references called "BD_bio-BoH" and "Samson_Biography-sing365". Nothing, see why below:
  • Both "Finnish Emma Awards" and "Finnish Metal Music Awards" have questionable metodology regarding their existence and how the awards are presented.
  • "Online Metal Awards" and "Metal Storm Awards" (quasi-Fancruft; 100% irrelevant and giving hands to "Metal-Rules.com")

Hi. I was wondering if you could please elaborate on your comments made at the above FLC. What is it about the page that makes it not suitable to be a FLC. You said "It still needs some work, it can easily be improved." What work? Improved how? The nominator cannot be expected to work on it or improve it without being given direction, and the FL directors may decide that your comment is not valid without something to back it up. Iced Earth Members

[edit]

sure i can help out. im also trying to improve Thrash Metal page. i can maybe create at least a stub with a picture of maybe 1 or 2 of the guys. im glad to help. CallMeAndrew (talk) 17:07, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

im kinda have a tough time finding any information on the uncreated Iced Earth band members. its also what happened to me when i was making the Greg Handevidt article. as you can see, its not very good, its a small stub that doesnt even have a picture because of the limited info i found. so, this might take awhile. CallMeAndrew (talk) 23:37, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
im sorry i just cant help you. i searched alot of stuff, on Dave Abell and Randall Shawver, the only things that came up are things we already know. they were former members of iced earth. doesnt even say their age, where they are from or anything. its just not working out. maybe they shouldnt get an article. but i could maybe help on somthing else, or when im in a big project, i could get a bit of help from u. Don't do this again and tell other people this too

[edit]

This edit you made to the discography section of the Iron Maiden main article was completely unnecessary and... wrong. The consistant format for discography sections of bands/artists with a seperate discography article is studio albums only, with the year in parenthesis after each album. Actually, listing "Year: Album" could be described as "technically incorrect" because that implies all the albums the band/artist made on that year should be listed on that line. Iron Maiden only released one album per year so it isn't a huge deal for them, but for other bands it could be a large problem. A year in parenthesis after each release is correct by all standards and is common on most publications and etc.

I am just telling you this so that you don't make the same mistake again and that you can tell other people this too. Thanks! A vision of it (talk) 22:51, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FLC 3b review

Hello, I noticed that a recent FLC that you nominated failed because of the criterion 3b. I have started a review of the criterion here, and any comments or opinions that you have about it would be more than welcome. Thanks, Scorpion0422 23:24, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated List of WarCry band members for featured list removal here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets the featured list criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks; editors may declare to "Keep" or "Remove" the article's featured status. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Rockk3r! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 451 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

The article Metal Gods – Tributo a Judas Priest has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unnotable compilation/tribute album. No references given or found to indicate suitability for inclusion, and no likely target for a redirect

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Avalanch. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Avalanch. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection

[edit]

i saw you renamed rob zombie's "20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection" album article. the new name doesn't match with user Feduciary's main article (20th Century Masters – The Millennium Collection), which lists all the albums with their names conforming to a specific style. unfortunately the albums' links in that main article point to articles whose names don't conform. even the names of the albums in the article don't match the article's name itself (but that might be due to wiki software limitations with punctuation in article names). its category (Category:20th Century Masters albums) is even worse: some articles have 2 colons, some have 1 hyphen/1 colon, some dont include "20th Century Masters", and others put "20CM" and "TMC" and the band's name in all different kinds of orders. instead of having rob zombie and kiss fans determine what those artists' albums' articles should be called, they should conform to Feduciary's main article. i left the same message for user Cyrus XIII. i'm not lazy, i've just never renamed an article and think someone who's done it before (like you 2) should/could do it, and to avoid edit wars between us. if not for all 161 albums (62 with articles), at least for your respective favorite band. i can handle editing the main article's links to point to the new album's article's names, afterwards. maybe this comment can be mentioned in WikiProject Albums, to apply to all compilation series listed in Category:Compilation album series. Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:16, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Mägo de Oz Fest.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mägo de Oz Fest.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. A tag has been placed on File:Victor García on Pamplona (Concert).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:Manuel_Ramil_on_Pamplona.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Manuel_Ramil_on_Pamplona.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Non-free rationale for File:WarCry - La Quinta Esencia tour posters.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:WarCry - La Quinta Esencia tour posters.jpg.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Stravaganzza

[edit]

The article Stravaganzza has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lack of independent reliable secondary sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Notice

The file File:Megadeth anarchy in the uk.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Regardless of the release's notability, the cover art is insufficiently supported by critical commentary of the article. Furthermore, if success matters, the version charted in just the United Kingdom (not in top 25) and New Zealand to this date. Uncertain whether deleting the image would affect the understanding of the song, originally sung by the different band Sex Pistols. Defaulting to decide that deleting the image would be harmless, just in case. May fail WP:NFCC#8.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. A tag has been placed on Category:Lauren Harris albums indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 03:34, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Contra El Viento.ogg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Contra El Viento.ogg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. plicit 12:13, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
