The article Jai Bhagwan has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:
- All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. SwisterTwister talk 00:26, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

Your AIV report
[edit]I noticed that you reported an IP to AIV but you didn't format it corretly. You had to type *{{IPvandal|117.219.162.14}} followed by a description of the vandalism. I've already done it for you. Happy editing! FloBo A boat that can float! (watch me float!) 15:09, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
I have restored all the sections by copy pasting the source code of an earlier version: 17:35, 6 August 2012 (IST). It is possible that minor data change from 17:35 till now 20:52 (IST) could be missing. --Anbu121 (talk me) 15:20, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
- Reply to your query on how to restore:- There are two ways. 1) Twinkle is a tool which will give you an option to restore any version while viewing the diff page. 2) You can go to a older version of the page and click edit. From there, you can copy the content and then come to the article page, then click edit and then paste. --Anbu121 (talk me) 15:29, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Team India.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Team India.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Stefan2 (talk) 12:54, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
Karlha Magliocco
[edit]Hey Scbs 2007, I just thought I'd let you know that I saw your article Karlha Magliocco in the New Articles list-- The information is presented clearly and is easy to understand. However, I noticed there are some holes that may need filling: the references in the article do not follow Wikipedia guidelines. There is a tutorial on formatting citations at Wikipedia:Referencing. It would be great if you could also improve the related article Boxing.
It's always nice to see users contributing to make Wikipedia better! Amy Z (talk) 14:03, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Request for an Interview
[edit]Hi Scbs 2007,
I recently sent you a message about Karlha Magliocco.
I am a researcher at Carnegie Mellon University examining how to make interaction in Wikipedia more effective. Our research has shown that certain types of feedback encourage Wikipedians to edit more while others seem to discourage them. Experienced and less experienced Wikipedians seem to have different reactions to very similar feedback. I am interested in interviewing you about your reaction to the message I sent you. A discussion with you will help us better understand the types of feedback that can encourage newcomers's participation to Wikipedia without turning off old-timers.
I can talk with you via online chat, on Skype, over the phone, or just through Wikipedia messages if you are more comfortable with that. The interview should take take less than 60 minutes. You do need to be over 18 years old, and consent to be a part of the study in order to for me to interview you. This study has been approved by Carnegie Mellon's research ethics committee (the IRB), and the Wikipedia Research Committee.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. We will be glad to send you a draft describing our research results right after the interview.

Interview
[edit]Hi Scbs,
Thank you so much for your time, and for showing interest in this work!
I'm pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Cognitive Science. Cognitive science is what you get when you mix psychology with computer science, and a lot of us have backgrounds in artificial intelligence, linguistics or neuroscience as well.
I've been a social computing research assistant for only about 15 months, and that is about how long my project has been ongoing. We primarily study interactions in online communities. In my project we are interested in understanding what the effect of different types of messages is on user contribution. On the side we are interested in how to safely create experimental manipulations in Wikipedia. There have been a variety of machine learning studies, but they can't really prove causality. Other projects in the lab look at tools like Amazon Mechanical Turk, or easier user interfaces for these online groups.
The earliest Wikipedia research study that I know of was in 2002. It is very interesting to study because it is such a large and successful community, with a non-obvious leadership structure, and entirely public content and history. Academic studies about Wikipedia has more on using Wikipedia for research.
As a student I've had a lot of wonderful opportunities to get involved in different kinds of research. Previously I worked in a psychology lab, understanding how we learn mathematics, and now my primary research is actually in experimental neuroscience. In the future, I hope to pursue a PhD in a computational neuroscience field.
At the moment, we are looking for answers to these questions: 1. Did you read the message User_talk:Scbs_2007#Karlha_Magliocco?
2. What did you think the message meant?
3. How accurate was the message?
4. What do you think of this part of the message - "However, I noticed there are some holes that may need filling: the references in the article do not follow Wikipedia guidelines. There is a tutorial on formatting citations at Wikipedia:Referencing"?
5. What do you think of this part of the message - "It would be great if you could also improve the related article Boxing"?
6 Was the message different from other messages you get from Wikipedia?
7. How do the message make you feel?
Interpretation: 8 Here is what we found.
a) The messages have larger effects on newcomers than they do on experience editors. b) Some experienced editors were less likely to change their previous edits after receiving negative feedback. An example of negative feedback is "However, I noticed there are some holes that may need filling: the references in the article do not follow Wikipedia guidelines. There is a tutorial on formatting citations at Wikipedia:Referencing." c) Some experienced editors made fewer edits after receiving directive messages. An example of direction message is "It would be great if you could also improve the related article Boxing."
Do you have explanations for our findings?

Speedy deletion nomination of Sharad Kumar Dixit
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Sharad Kumar Dixit requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
§FreeRangeFrog 02:54, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Atanu Das
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Atanu Das requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Jacona (talk) 10:47, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
