Khanahr (Salgi) village moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Khanahr (Salgi) village, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Ingratis (talk) 09:04, 5 June 2021 (UTC)As an extra note to the above, I think the article title does not need to be anything more than "Khanahr", since there is no other article of a similar name. Ingratis (talk) 09:13, 5 June 2021 (UTC)

Image quality icons should not be included in article captions
[edit]Hello. I'm an administrator and a Teahouse Host, and you may have seen that earlier today I pinged you in a reply I gave to GRDN711 at the Teahouse, regarding their query about your rather unusual inclusion of image quality icons in every article caption whenever you've inserted on of your own photographs. As wonderful as your photos are, I'm afraid we simply don't include those icons in the articles themselves as they only serve to detract from their encyclopaedic nature. Instead, anyone going to Commons to look at one of your images in more detail can see your work has been appreciated by the community via the use of the image quality icons there.
It's an easy mistake to have made, but I really do need to ask you to go back and remove them all, please. To help you get started on this, I can offer:
Unfortunately, I can't offer you a link to all the articles where you've placed File:Cscr-featured.svg, as this graphic is also used in hundred of other Featured articles. So I will simply have to ask you to go through the articles you've added your photos to and remove this and any other image quality icon from all the captions, please. Thankfully, you are really good at leaving edit summaries, so a Ctrl-F search for the word "seal" in every one of your past contributions may make that task easier for you.
I'm sorry to have to ask you to do this, and I certainly wouldn't want to put you off from contributing your wonderful photos to articles in future, but I do ask that you omit the icons, please. Many thanks, Nick Moyes (talk) 00:46, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
- Noted. Will do the needful. Tagooty (talk) 01:33, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
Hello Tagooty - sorry about the hassle. I didn't even know they were your images. I just saw the icons and did not remember seeing that done before in other captions. I thought I would query through the Tree House for a better opinion. Please continue to compete in QI/FP/VI. You make excellent images. Best, Gordon
- @GRDN711: Thanks for the appreciation. I'll certainly continue to compete for QI/VI/FP and to edit Wikipedia articles. I follow the Wikipedia dictum of "be bold" and cheerfully rollback the occasional step too far! --Tagooty (talk) 02:44, 24 April 2022 (UTC)

Mud is a small Himalayan village in the cold desert region of Spiti in Himachal Pradesh, India. In 2011, the village had a population of 213. At an altitude of 3,810 metres (12,500 ft) on the Pin River (a tributary of the Spiti River), the village is located at the base of the Parbati range that towers almost vertically 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above. Mud is notable geologically for the nearby Muth Formation, which consists of white quartz arenite, which has a thickness of 258 to 300 metres (846 to 984 ft) and is resistant to weathering. Krishna's Butterball is a large granite balancing rock that rests on a short incline in the coastal resort town of Mamallapuram in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is approximately six metres (20 ft) high and five metres (16 ft) wide, with a mass of around 250 tonnes. It is balanced on a slope on top of a 1.2-metre-high (4 ft) plinth that is a naturally eroded hill. Krishna's Butterball is part of the Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built during the 7th and 8th centuries as Hindu religious monuments by the Pallava dynasty. It is now a popular tourist attraction. Photograph credit: Timothy A. Gonsalves
