Question about Removed Edit

[edit]

Excuse me, I just want to ask you why did you edit the Good Kid Maad City wikipedia page, and deleted my contributions. What was it that made you undo my edits? Badabingbadaboong (talk) 01:32, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Badabingbadaboong: Online retailers such as Apple Music and Spotify are considered as unreliable sources (WP:RS). TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 04:03, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question about Removed Edit

[edit]

Hi TheAmazingPeanuts! I see you have (perhaps accidentally) reverted my comment, asking why it is not acceptable to put the same information on Blank Face LP (about Summer Madness being interpolated on a track) as is already referenced on the page Summer Madness? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2C0F:F4C0:2102:19C:D0B3:5E9D:D839:30FC (talk) 19:27, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Roy. In the recent discussion about "Release history" table, Andrew318 said that those are distributors, not labels. So if you have any further comments. Regards. 2001:D08:2910:FB3C:17E0:D15C:D305:FC85 (talk) 09:58, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Hey! Could you please elaborate what exactly is misleading? The score is not "4/5" (as the number 4 doesn't appear on the page), it's 4 mics out of 5. Their rating system is based on the images of a microphone. And {{Rating}} is "designed to provide an image rating system". AstonishingTunesAdmirer 連絡 00:46, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@AstonishingTunesAdmirer: Mics are not stars; in Template:Rating, it clearly says don't use where the source does not use stars, because it is inaccurate and misleading. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 05:15, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's not so clearly, actually. Considering the rest of the paragraph, this sentence reads as a warning against replacing purely numerical scores with stars. AstonishingTunesAdmirer 連絡 06:51, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@AstonishingTunesAdmirer: It clearly says don't use stars if the source (such as The Source) doesn't use them, which is the reason why we use the star rating template for The Source ratings in the first place. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 07:20, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Stalker here--disagree as well. Anything that is symbolic--and I change MusicHound numbers (it used "bones") all the time--is represented symbolically with stars. But we can bring this up in a wider forum for clarification. Cheers. Caro7200 (talk) 10:44, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've opened a new topic over at the template's talk page (I actually mentioned MusicHound there too). I think it would be better to wait to see if we get any input there first. And if not, I thought about moving it to WikiProject Music/Albums later, but I'm open to suggestions. AstonishingTunesAdmirer 連絡 10:58, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
