[edit]Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=your reason here ~~~~}}
at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:
- Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
- State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
- Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Request reason:
Hello, I believe my account has been blocked in error. I received this message that states that I have been blocked for "advertising or promotion" on topics which I have a financial stake. This is not applicable for the following reasons. First, I have not edited a single article. I have only been participating in discussions on talk pages and working in my sandbox. You can see a full history of my edits here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/WyldEys It also appears that one of my sandboxes that I was working on yesterday was deleted for some reason. In all of the work that I've done, I would consider it the opposite of promotion, because I have been working on suggesting changes to articles which would remove inappropriate inforamation whether thats for being too promotional or not properly sourced. I'm not sure how this can be conceived as paid advocacy, and I'm honestly just disappointed that my proactive approach has led me here. I'm hopeful that this is just a misunderstanding or possibly directed at the wrong account. Please let me know if I can provide any other information to help in this process. Thank you, WyldEys (talk) 01:43, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Decline reason:
A connection to the Yoodaba sockfarm is about as evident as it can be. I am declining this request. --Blablubbs (talk) 06:27, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
@Blablubbs: Can you clarify what you mean by "a connection the the Yoodaba sockfarm"? I honestly thought this was a case of mixed up accounts, but now I feel more confused. Can you please explain why I have been blocked? WyldEys (talk) 14:38, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- You have been blocked because both behavioral and technical evidence tie you to a known undisclosed paid editing operation. GeneralNotability (talk) 20:42, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- @GeneralNotability: I can promise you that I have no involvement in any operation. The whole thing is really absurd and the only explanation I can come up with is that your technical evidence is somehow related to and mixed up with the VPN I use. Is there another place I can submit a claim to have this reviewed? WyldEys (talk) 03:19, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
