TahaKahi was created just over a month after YassinRi was blocked indefinitely. The first thing TahaKahi did was make nearly identical edits to YassinRi, restoring some content YassinRi added to Safi, Morocco. TahaKahi shows a familiarity with userboxes and Babel, Wikiprojects, WP guidelines such as WP:FORLANG and noticeboards. They also show experience in translating articles from French (just like YassinRi[1]). TahaKahi also deletes Arabic native names and replaces them with unsourced Berber names, much like YassinRi.[2][3] This indicates that this user is not a novice editor. - @Izno I intended to select a different diff. In this edit of YassinRi, they added a Berber name and altered the history section, writing that "The exact date of Safi's founding is unknown", and making references to the Barghawata, the Almoravids and the Almohads. They also made a reference to a certain Abu Mohammed Salih who contributed to the development of the city. Similarly, in this edit of TahaKahi, they also made references to all the aforementioned ruling dynasties, as well as Abu Mohammed Salih, except that they spelt his name as "Abu Muhammad Saleh" this time. TahaKahi also added "There is no precise information about the history and circumstances of the founding of the city of Safi in historical sources" (very similar to what YassinRi wrote) and added the same Berber name. - Responding to TahaKahi's reply below, I find it hard to believe that it's mere coincidence for these two users to both show an intense interest in the same city and add identical content, mentioning the exact the same dynasties and individuals (as I've pointed out in my reply above), with TahaKahi making the edits just over a month after YassinRi got blocked indefinitely, when the article only managed to have 100 edits in the past 5+ years[4]. The final paragraph of their reply here is filled with baseless aspersions, because clearly at least three editors are opposing their edit to Karima Gouit, and the Berberism article is filled with sources in the lead that contradict TahaKahi's claim that content was unsourced. If there's anyone that should be banned from editing topics pertaining to Berbers, it's TahaKahi. It's also quite suspicious that their account is being used for a single purpose (much like YassinRi). These edits (deleting Arabic names and replacing them with Neo-Tifinagh)[5][6][7][8] show clear ethnic WP:BATTLEGROUND behavior (they even misuse the MOS:LEADLANG rule to disregard the fact they've violated WP:OR[9]). Not to mention all their additions are either WP:OR or anachronistic for the time period. Skitash (talk) 12:54, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

Hello, Taha here! I would like to begin by referring to my user page in this talk section. I was suspended for a period after Skitash reported me for suspected sockpuppetry back in June of this year. It was later concluded that there was no conclusive proof of this claim, and my appeal was accepted after I provided an explanation of my mistakes. At the time, I was still learning how to edit on Wikipedia, and I took responsibility for my errors and learned to be more careful in the future.
However, for the sake of clarity, I would like to address a few points regarding the second report made by this user.
for Translation of Safi, my home city. The edit I made for the Safi page was a direct translation from a more refined French version, but unfortunately, I did not cite the sources properly, which I didn’t fully understand at the time. This led to my two-week ban. Now that I review both revisions mine and Yassine’s, there is barely any substantial similarity between them. You also here claim that translating articles from French to English is something only experienced Wikipedia editors would know. This claim seems somewhat vague and doesn't warrant a detailed response. The process of translation is straightforward, open two pages, rewrite them in English and isn't restricted to only advanced users. For this, userboxes, Babel, WikiProjects, WP guidelines, and noticeboards all provide tools and resources that help editors, especially in multilingual contexts. Interestingly, you yourself taught me some of these tools, as I learned to check the Wikipedia rules you frequently cited. This led me to understand how they can be used to hold others accountable, including when you have broken the rules.
main issue here, bias. It seems clear that you have developed an aversion to me because I challenged some of the one-sided edits you made. I believe this has led to your approach to not here to build an encyclopedia. One such example is the dispute over the Karima Gouit page[10]. Despite my attempts to discuss this issue with you, you continued to oppose the addition of her name in her native Amazigh language. This indicates a bias against the Amazigh community. Your previous edits in the Berberism article, especially your remarks about the movement being "anti-Arab" with 0 citation in the first sentence in algeria section also reflect this bias. Furthermore, I believe you are still engaged in a dispute with another Amazigh editor on a different topic. Also, As you can see from the discussion in this Talk page for karima [11], I, along with two other editors, were trying to reach a resolution. We cited sources and worked towards a mutual understanding, but you chose to ignore our efforts and continued to derail the conversation. When I initiated a dispute resolution noticeboard, you instead accused me of being a sockpuppet without providing any proper reasoning[12]. You also referred to my previous ban, which was a result of me still learning how to edit on Wikipedia. After we had been discussing the Karima Gouit article on her Talk page and identifying potential citations, you proceeded to request the deletion of the page for not having enough citations. This happened right in the middle of our discussions, which I find concerning. I am utterly disappointed in how you have handled this situation. Based on your conduct, it seems that you should not be allowed to edit topics related to the Amazigh ethnic group, as many of your edits appear to violate Wikipedia’s Neutral Point of View policy. This includes your critical and uncited revision of the Berberism article, which I eventually deleted because it was biased and poorly supported, citing the rules you broke, and a few other wiki pages I have passed through on my time checking your revisions relating to this subject. I would also like to add that you did not send me any warning or notice regarding this report. TahaKahi (talk) 10:00, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
In response to Skitash’s reply, you still fail to provide any solid argument regarding the connection between me and YassinRi. Secondly, concerning MOS:LEADLANG and "ethnic" WP:BATTLEGROUND, if anything you're trying to reach into an edit war. I don’t see the correlation. How does adding the native language of a topic relate to MOS? Thirdly, regarding your claim of a WP:OR violation against my inclusion of the Berber/Amazigh language, are you referring to the translation in the introduction [13], similar to others you seem frustrated about? I want to clarify, in case it’s being misunderstood, that I didn’t write an entire uncited page, this is simply a translation to include MOS:LEADLANG TahaKahi (talk) 14:42, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- TahaKahi, editors are not required to inform editors about SPI investigations that they start. In fact, they don't usually do so. Liz Read! Talk! 00:28, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- Apologies, I'll keep this in mind. TahaKahi (talk) 05:02, 11 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]- The cited "first thing" diffs don't look the same to me, did you select the wrong diff? Or am I blind? Izno (talk) 20:34, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
- I find neither the behavioral evidence nor the scant technical evidence indicative of a link. I'm not convinced TahaKahi is a net positive, but that's not what SPI is for. Closing. Vanamonde93 (talk) 20:53, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
