Announcements

[edit]
  • Congratulations to the Polish Video Game Wikiproject (Wikiprojekt:Gry komputerowe) on its 10th anniversary which took place on February 2. In total 7 different interlanguage WP:VGs have now reached this milestone!
  • What is perhaps the most controversial article relating to video games on Wikipedia, the GamerGate controversy article went through an Arbitration case from November 27th, 2014 to January 29th, 2015. The proposed decision on the case resulted in thirteen editors being sanctioned from all things relating to the topic, from topic bans to even an editor being site banned. Whether you support or oppose GamerGate, the impact of the case resulted in it making news on websites like The Guardian. To learn more on the ArbCom case and anything else relating to GamerGate on Wikipedia, please see the articles made at the Signpost.
  • After discussion, the Video Game project has decided to discontinue its use of A-class article. This resulted in the 42 A-class articles being re-classed as Good Articles instead. The discussion can be found here.
