To comply with the contest, all of the articles must be submitted here between 0:00 on April 1 and 23:59 on May 2. Under your section, please list what articles you've created or expanded and list all of the points you're claiming on each one, including added bonuses etc which are stated in the Rules and scoring. Please also list your article creations and expansions at the bottom of the main page for the combined effort. Dr. Blofeld will formally approve or disapprove the entries put forward here with either a tick or a cross and update the scoreboard regularly as the contest proceeds. If Dr. Blofeld declines an entry, he will state the reason, but contestants can readdress articles with the advice given and they can be rechecked at a later date to see that they fully comply. If a participant begins editing an article and finds that another participant has also begun to edit it, decide between yourselves who is going to do it. The same article cannot be submitted by multiple candidates. To avoid this happening, contestants are advised to sign their names by articles on the core list once the contest begins to indicate what they intend actively working on. Please only reserve one article at a time and make sure you're actively going to edit it when you reserve it. If you reserve an article and don't edit it for up to a week your name may be removed. Remember to place your GA nominated articles in the Good articles list for reviewing on the main contest page. Feel free to contact at User talk:Dr. Blofeld if there is something you dispute or need assistance with.

Y ::@Cwmhiraeth: It's 10 points for listed buildings, settlements or women, 5 points for eveyrthing else. So you'll get 10 for those, rather than 15. Llancaiach Fawr. Not a new article and not much increased in size, but practically a rewrite: [159] Not sure what to claim. David Wynne (composer). Have brought this into line with standards, getting rid of some subjective (probably copied) wording and improving the referencing. Not claiming any points as I don't think it fits into a category and it's more or less the same length as it was before. But at least I was able to get rid of the "multiple issues". Can you just source "The castle is open to the public from April to September; access to the garden and grounds is free. It is also a wedding and events venue, hosting the Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show and the St Davids Polo." and "It has since been shown that the story was a construction of Sir John Stradling." and I'll give you the points on the table.♦ Dr. Blofeld13:05, 7 April 2016 (UTC)@Dr. Blofeld:I've sourced all the elements you requested, and discovered I blamed the wrong Stradling. Core 2 article 40 + 10 = 50 points.Y I can't give 25 points on this for 3kb as it's really not. But there is certainly something to be said for simplifying the scoring for core attack for the final week and offering 100 points for improving any core article and scrapping the bonuses. I'm offering a lot of points for the coming week for destubbing articles. A lot more points potentially can be earned for that so perhaps adjusting this to a basic score for improving any core article by minimum of 1.5 kb would work. I really don't like having to adjust anything on this though, the scoring should be simple and consistent throughout.♦ Dr. Blofeld09:59, 24 April 2016 (UTC) (+200 GAN promoted)Y[reply]

Well, the idea was 5 points for a photo upload with article, or for an article which didn't have a photo. So see which ones can be used, or do some article work on the relevant subject and they can be included. Create St Marys Church, Betws-y-coed/improve Swallow Falls and then you can get the bonuses for photos.♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:38, 18 April 2016 (UTC) ♦ Dr. Blofeld12:36, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I create all the missing Welsh international footballers. I added to most of the articles several facts about the person. Some of them are small +/- 1500kb, while other are over 2500kb with several facts and sources, like Thomas John Thomas, Des Palmer and Harry Millership. Taking all together I would say it's worth on average 10 points per article, so 1830 points.
Note: Unfortunately the word 'current' is listed in the bonuspoints for: "players, male or female, in the current Wales football and rugby teams – 50 points". Without that word I would have earned 36*50=1800 more poinst.
Here is the place to claim any of the bonus prizes which are listed on the contest page. For creating/expanding the most articles on listed buildings etc you must list all of the articles with a # (numbering) where applicable and give links of your expansion differences in making the claim to make it easier to judge and pick the winner. People who do not compete in the contest and in the editathon may also claim these prizes if they wish, but only work submitted in April will register.
Y Awarded to Miyagawa.
Claims here for expanding the most articles which contain a stub tag at the time of expansion. There are no expansion rules for this, all you have to do is ensure that every entry is minimum 1.5 kb of readable prose in total and cleanly sourced/formatted. Diffs must be provided of expansion and the amount of new prose added, and the stub tag clearly visible in the original article version. The 1200-page Welsh Academy Encyclopaedia of Walesor a voucher of similar value will be given to the winner. To seriously go for this prize, entering the Stub Obliteration mini contest will be the easiest way to work towards this!
Y Awarded to Penny Richards.
Claims here for most start class articles (minimum 1.5 kb) and expansions (minimum 3kb) on women biographies. Entries may be those identified in the Women biographies or List of Welsh women list or any other of the editor's choice. Please # your entries and give diffs for the expanded ones and prose count. Claiming 1375 points for getting the three articles Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Clwyd to GA during the month as mentioned on the Core attack page.
@Cwmhiraeth: Nono, you've misunderstood this one. I've said that they're worth 1375 points combined for GA. "A total of 1375 points for anybody who can get any three of the following up to Good Article status within the month". That didn't mean an extra 1375 points. I was just stating what all of those articles were worth once you tot up the bonuses. If you work out how much each was with expansion and then GA it should be about that. The bonus was 250 points for promoting three not 1375. Same goes for the history and geography type ones, those are stated to be worth 1000 odd points, you got the 750 bonus for promoting geography not a 1000 odd one. I think you actually got nearer 1500 for the three counties, they're not worth 3000 odd haha. Yup, you got 420 + 420 + 425 + 250=1515 points.♦ Dr. Blofeld07:10, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm... The page states "A total of 1375 points for anybody who can get any three of the following up to Good Article status within the month:" and then lists the present unitary authorities and the preserved counties. I certainly took this as a challenge to do three of them (not two or four), a challenge that I took up. I did wonder whether this was meant to be a bonus, but the number 1375 is not even exactly divisible by three, and 458.3 did not marry up with what each county would score individually, as far as I could see. So I think this part of the Core Attack page was poorly explained. Nevertheless, the judge's decision is final, so I will accept your ruling. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:09, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Cwmhiraeth: If you wondered whether it was a bonus or not why didn't you ask? 1375 isn't divisible by three but the figure included the 250 bonus for promoting the three. 1125 divided by 3 is 375. I believe I calculated it as 300 for a GA (200 + 100 for each one), 50 for a Level 1 Core and 25 for a 3kb+ expansion =375. What wasn't clear about "Here are some of the highest earning articles you can possibly tackle for this and the total points you will earn for writing a high-quality article and promoting to Good Article status?": I've emboldened total points you will earn" now anyway. I can see how you might have thought that though. Do you not think 1515 points for just three articles is very reasonable though?♦ Dr. Blofeld08:27, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It would be a strange figure to give for a bonus! Perhaps it would have been best if I'd displayed how the totals were totted up, sorry, I thought it was clear from the figures given in the other bonuses section. Please ask though if you're unsure about something! Mmm the scoring was meant to be challenging rather than confusing but I can see it's confusing people at times on this. I wonder if it would be best to entirely scrap the points system for future ones and simply go by number of articles. ♦ Dr. Blofeld08:46, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
